Afrikaans is not only my Home Language, but I also have a big love and passion for it. My final mark for Grade 12 Afrikaans Home Language (IEB) was 92%. I have tutored Afrikaans to both primary and high school students, and use various learning methods to make it easier for students to understand.

I am an Afrikaans home language speaker and languages are my strong point. I love Afrikaans and the language. I understand how Afrikaans can be hard and that one can struggle with the language if it isn't your home language. I want to help students who struggle with this subject.

Afrikaans is my home language. I am very proud and passionate about this language. This language is in my roots and I believe I can teach this in an excellent manner. Afrikaans can be sometimes difficult to understand it’s ways, but when you snap it, you will fall in love with its ways and culture.

Since Afrikaans is my home language, I find that I have no trouble teaching this subject to others. The language makes so much sense to me, and it is fun to explore the literature and grammar aspect of it with the students. I am an avid reader and will encourage learners to use this as a way of broadening their understanding of the language.

I am a qualified Afrikaans teacher and tutor with 10 years experience in both the IEB and NSC curriculum. I have helped many students reach their full potential in Afrikaans FAL and have helped them gain the confidence required to excel in the subject. I am especially passionate about helping learners understand the prescribed literature and how to go about analyzing and answering it during a test or exam. I also have proven methods of teaching language rules that make it possible to answer any language question.

I have a knack for learning and teaching languages. I've been in roles that required me to teach subjects in Afrikaans. My understanding and experiences with the language have made me better able to teach others.

I received outstanding results for Afrikaans in Highschool. My approach to teaching Afrikaans is to start with the basics, the sentence structure, tenses etc, and build up vocabulary as knowledge of the basics develops, using creative interactive methods, such as assigning Afrikaans programs to watch, to immerse the students in the language, as well as many many colourful posters, notes and worksheets.

Afrikaans can be very tricky for some people. It is a very beautiful language. Using my easy techniques, we'll be able to get you going in no time. Reading, writing as well as sentences. In no time you'll be having full conversations with me in Afrikaans!
