Christine S - Tutor in Erasmus
I am 24 years old, completing my first year as a new teacher at High School Erasmus in Bronkhortspruit. During my student years, I continuously tutored for various companies. My main focus was Life Science, Natural Science, Afrikaans, and English for the younger grades. I find that I can easily connect with the learners, especially my tutor kids, because I am genuinely interested and motivated to help them succeed. My lessons are easy to understand, simple to follow and I always try to incorporate new and exciting pictures and examples!

Throughout my student life, I tutored for various companies. I enjoyed working with the kids and found that it also shaped me into my future career (begin a teacher). It was good pocket money and also gave me the motivation to work hard!

BEd Life Science - University of Pretoria
I completed my teaching degree through Tukkies. This has been an amazing experience, teaching me how to be a good educator, and also giving me the experience of working with students. This degree has enabled me to successfully teach the subjects that I love: Biology, Natural Science, and also Mathematics.

Since Afrikaans is my home language, I find that I have no trouble teaching this subject to others. The language makes so much sense to me, and it is fun to explore the literature and grammar aspect of it with the students. I am an avid reader and will encourage learners to use this as a way of broadening their understanding of the language.

This is the subject I feel most comfortable with. I received top marks for this subject during school, as well as my University subjects. The topics are super interesting, and I find that I always find a way to explain a difficult concept in an easier way.

I received an A symbol for English Home language on my matric certificate. I love reading and anything to do with being creative, writing, and exploring literature. The students will find that I am passionate about understanding the grammar aspects of this language, and I will try to clear up some of the more difficult concepts in a fun and new way.

Natural Sciences
This subject is the forerunner for Biology. Its basis is life science and physical science, combined. I love this subject because it focuses on so many interesting topics. I am passionate about teaching Natural Science because it provides you with a solid foundation going on to the FET phase of school.
