English as a foreign Language tutors in Cape Town

I've taught in Asia as a tutor and ESL teacher in public and private schools. I understand the difficulties and importance of learning English as a foreign language. I enjoy the versatility that is allowed by this subject and various interesting topics can be used to make this subject interesting.

I cannot only offer to teach the rules of the English language, but also proper pronunciation. In my drama studies, I learnt alot about teaching students how to pronounce English words correctly. I also had to study the different mudulations and voice inflections that people of different nationalisties use. This helps me teach students to use the correct inflections for the English language.

I have a degree in English Literature from Varsity College where I graduated at the top of my class with 19 distinctions. I have a knack for essay writing & have a tried-and-tested essay formula which can be applied to any subject.

I have recently taught students in South Korea who were learning English as a foreign language. I therefore have experience in what these students struggle with and how they can improve and progress. My students made excellent progress whilst I was teaching them.

I have an English degree from the University of Cape Town and have been a private tutor in this subject for the last 5 years. I am TEFL qualified. I have a lot of experience tutoring in this subject and online teaching experience.

This is a new area of interest as I have recently qualified as a TEFL teacher. Although I have three years teaching experience and am a native English speaker, as well as writing English at a high level, I have not yet taught English to foreigners. However, I have travelled to 33 countries around the world and have learnt well how to deal with non-native English speakers in how to get each other's point across. I have been exposed to English teaching methods through the TEFL course.

I obtained a TEFL qualification (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) in 2011, and have had many years of experience teaching English as a foreign language to both children and adults since then. I am aware of the common issues that students encounter when learning English and am able to offer solutions and learning strategies to support you.

I am passionate, but also have the patience necessary for teaching a language. i love to share my knowledge and my greatest thing i wish to see is a learner excelling and reaching his/her full potential. I am also an English home language speaker and therefore have all the possible knowledge that is required of me. I also make sure that before every session I am up to date and know the content well.

I am the best tutor for this subject as I am extremely well spoken in the English language. I have completed my 120hr TEFL course and am confident in my teaching skills. I am patient and encouraging and am willing to teach anyone at any age !

I have a Level 5 TEFL certification to teach English as a foreign language. I love the English language and have a passion for reading and writing. I enjoy sharing my culture and learning about other cultures and language is a great tool do to so. I get along well with people from all walks of life and would greatly enjoy sharing my passion for English with my students.
