I am highly qualified in the field of Psychology. BA Degree Comm and Psych BA Honours Psychology MSc Clinical Psychology PsyD Clinical Psychology (6 months until completion). I have seven years experience in counseling adolescent and adult clients at a mental health agency and am therefor qualified to assist Psychology students.

As a 3rd year student, who passed every psychology module with a distinction thus far, I believe I have the knowledge and the ability to supplement a students teaching. I'm also enjoy reading many psychology books and as a SRC president I possess skills that can be utilized for teaching psychology.

I have a bachelor's degree in psychology from UCT and an honours degree in clinical psychology from UNISA. In my studies I covered most areas of psychology (industrial, social, research, psychometrics, etc.), but my main focus has been on clinical and neuro-psychology. I have a fairly good grip on research, stats, and psychometrics as well.

I studied Psychology in England at an A-level standard and it is a subject that drives me till today. With the ever-changing world, psychology is needed more now than ever. Psychology has many aspects that can be looked at, as well as studies that allow us to better understand the human mind. We do not fully understand ourselves as mankind and why we do the things we do, however, psychology does bring light to a lot of areas. Psychology is a science, a social science. We look at society and study it deeply. This includes areas such a phobias/fears, genetic disorders, neuroanatomy, environmental impacts, and so on. Many things can impact us to become the people we are when we are older- psychology assists us in understanding why.

Studying towards a Psychology degree, in undergrad and postgrad, had set the foundation for me to teach this very intriguing subject of Psychology. I enjoy teaching and even learning about things like; why some people act in certain ways in certain situations, how trauma affects some people more than others, how the different chemicals and neurons in the brain signal various types of emotions, etc. To me, teaching this subject would be a learning experience too :)

This forms the structure to get a better idea how individuals respond and act to stimulus. Obtaining this knowledge is essential when teaching in any setting. In this light there are theorists that support evidence in there research. You as the student have to read and comprehend these topics that will support the views and opinions you want to contribute when writing a paper.

I took psychology during 1st and 2nd year of my BA degree at Varsity College. My marks for this subject were: 1st year 1st semester 73%, 1st year 2nd semester 81%, 2nd year 1st semester 70% and 2nd year 2nd semester 67%.

I've just graduated with a major in psychology and have a broad understanding of psychology in South Africa. I am able to understand concepts through an intersectional lens and can assist you in developing your critical thinking skills, essay writing, and development of understanding in the subject,

Having completed an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in psychology reflects my passion for the subject. I am currently completing my MA in Research Psychology and work with psychological concepts and theories on the daily. I would be honoured to help others make a success of their studies. I averaged an aggregate of 80% for my psychology modules throughout undergraduate and went on to complete my honours degree cum laude in 2019.
