Hi there! My name is Maddie and I graduated on the Dean's Merit list from UCT with a Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology and English. I normally work in the film industry and just finished working on the latest season of Love Island, but due to Coronavirus I'm stuck at home. I have an in depth knowledge of media studies and I'm passionate about pop culture and the social world. The subjects I'd be best to help you in are my two majors, Psych and English, but also anthropological studies that look at the world through and intersectional lens. For High Schoolers I can help with English, Biology, and History. Primary school I can help with all subjects. I look forward to working with you and think we'll have a lot of fun!

I have been working in the film industry throughout my studies at UCT. I have learnt and developed skills in stress management, communication, problem solving, and thinking creatively to succeed in my industry. The hours are generally long and hard, but I love it.

BSc Psychology, English - UCT
I graduated from UCT on the Dean's Merit List after three years of Psychology and English. I also took history and media as subjects throughout my degree. I have an in depth knowledge of these subjects, but also understand the tools and skills needed to advance in and humanities course! all of these skills are valuable not only in university, but in high school too. I feel I would be able to help you develop your skills and succeed, and we would have a lot of fun too.

As I said in my bio, I graduated from UCT on the Dean's Merit List with this as one of my majors. I love literature and am able to unpack narrative technique, do close reading, and contextualise and extrapolate meaning from texts. I can also help explain how to use all of these long words in context. The fundamental in English is being able to frame an argument consistently in an essay, and I can help you achieve that.
