I have always loved mathematics. In school I was always at the top of my class and enjoyed the problem solving aspect of maths. I can assist with both primary school and high school mathematics. This ranges from division and multiplication to more complex topics such as trigonometry and algebra.

I performed well academically in Mathematics in Primary and High School. Using various methods to explain, my approach to tutoring Math is to explain the rules and then apply them using varying examples.

I am currently studying Engineering at Stellenbosch University and have adopted a deeper and more insightful understanding for basic concepts. I believe any student can get an A for Matric Mathematics with the right mindset and coaching. Current methods used at national schools are outdated. Archived 89% for Matric Mathematics.

I did not find mathematics naturally easy in school, so I developed simply strategies to teach myself to understand maths. In University, I did very well in mathematics (80 percent). I truly believe that everyone CAN do maths -- coming from someone who is not naturally talented but has achieved high grades. I want to help students who are struggling to build their confidence and achieve by developing personalized teaching plans for each student tailored to their process of learning.

With the exposure I have had, I've been able to expand on key characteristics such as patience, empathy, understanding and care which enables me to be a great tutor. I believe tutoring should be tailored to the specific student and I have become adept in identifying the best means for a student to achieve a deep understanding of the work/subject at hand. I would also consider myself to be quite relatable and I would always ensure that the student is comfortable and confident to participate in lessons and to work towards any goals that are set.

I render the subject material relatable to students through effective and creative communication. I have three years of experience with the primary school maths syllabus so that I can address any questions intuitively. I am very patient and understanding as a tutor and my past learners have consistently achieved marked improvement in performance and confidence.

With my 5 years of teaching experinece I have been teaching students from grade 4 to 7. I have experience in teaching Mathematics to various abilities. I ensure my Maths lessons are fun and enjoyable for all, as I believe learning while having fun is the best way to learn.

I'm currently studying and working to become a Chartered Accountant. Numbers are a large part of my day to day life. I enjoy teaching and sharing what I've learnt in order to really help others and make a difference. Maths can be an enjoyable subject and I'd love to help you see that :)

I have done Mathematics at a university level from first to second year and passed it very well. I have also tutored my younger sister during her final year of high school. Some specifics regarding my mathematical experience include advanced calculus and linear algebra at a university level. I am also currently tutoring grade 11 and grade 7 students in mathematics so adaptability is one of my strong suits.

Being an electrical engineering student, we are taught to tackle very complex mathematical problems. With this knowledge and skills obtained, I am well equipped to teach you ways in which to tackle your own mathematical problems efficiently and easily.
