I received a distinction for Math in my matric year and am now pursuing a degree that revolves around mathematics. I thoroughly enjoy math as a subject and would love to asssit you in simplifying and studying math.

I believe that maths is a subject which can be mastered by anyone. Usually when someone is struggling with maths, there is a piece of knowledge or understanding further back in the syllabus. My goal is to find those gaps and fill them so that any student can master any topic.

I teach Foundation Phase Mathematics to learners aged 6 -9 years of age in order to give them a solid foundation for further studies. Mathematics is important as it impacts on most aspects of our lives and it is matters to me that the CAPS curriculum outcomes are adequately met.

With Mathematics its not about getting to the solution that matters but grasping the process that's all! I believe i am the best at this subject because l do not give in easily and like sharing my knowledge whenever possible. Also as an average person I know I can help anyone with a math problem for one to understand the concept behind. In everyday life we all at some point add or subtract numbers which I believe I am good at.

I did very well at Maths in school and finished Matric with 95% for the NSC Maths exams. I would feel comfortable helping students with Mathematical concepts that they are struggling to understand. I have also been a private tutor for high school students before and tutored Maths extensively all the way until Matric.

I have my honours degree from the University of Pretoria in Sport Science as well as my PGCE through UNISA. I am a full time grade 5 mathematics teacher at a private school in Stellenbosch. We follow a Singaporean maths curriculum, PRIME, and we have access to additional resources and excellent math content. I am a practical person, and the math subject is also very practical in nature, hence why I love teaching it so much. I have experienced maths as a subject that can be adjusted and trialed to suit an individual. Trial and error, and practice practice practice is the name of the game!
