I have been doing sciences since high school. I finished my O'Level studies with 8As and 3Bs then majored in sciences for my Advanced level high school as well. I then took up Chemical Engineering in Varsity and I have basically been majoring in physics, chemistry and maths. I am also good at report writing, editing, referencing and teaching reading skills.

I offer a unique teaching style which has afforded all my students significant improvements in their marks. I am a UCT graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science specializing in Quantitative Finance. During my undergraduate program I was a tutor as working and I loved it. I am a Maths guru! The idea of teaching other people has always been one of my strengths as I would describe myself as someone passionate about all I do. I am patient with my students and will make it a mission that they improve their grades by ensuring all concepts are well understood.

I am currently in the process of attaining a B.Ed degree in education. I have quite a bit of experience working in schools and tutoring learners within my community. Through my degree, I have been exposed to many learning areas which include Mathematics. I feel that with the correct tutor and attitude Math can be made fun.

I was in top-set maths throughout high school and achieved 89% in matric. I am happy to help with specific topics/modules, help throughout the year and/or help with prepping for tests and exams. I am committed to helping my students build a solid foundation for each subject with the fundamental concepts so that new sections/topics are easier to learn and understand.

I have taught math for many years covering the CAPS, IEB and Cambridge curricula . I set a lot of homework for my students as the only way to do well in mathematics is to tackle as many problems as possible.

I have always been passionate about mathematics. I understand the importance of truly understanding the subject as opposed to just learning the rules as I believe this better equips students to tackle unique problems that they may encounter and generally leads to better performance in tests and exams. I represented Mpumalanga in mathematics competitions in high school (2014) and achieved 95% for mathematics at the end of matric. I have since done a few mathematics courses at university level.

Mathematics is all about confidence and the more you practice the better you get. It is so important that you establish a solid foundation in the Primary School so that you are able to build on that foundation when you get to the Secondary School. Your teacher needs to be able to explain concepts to you and scaffold your learning so as to build on your strengths. He or she needs to allow you opportunities to build your confidence and help you to enjoy Mathematics. I have been teaching Mathematics up to Grade 9 level for over 30 years and I therefore know the syllabus and I also have a good idea of the sections where the learners might struggle.

I am passionate about mathematics and have the ability to simplify complex concepts to any level of understanding. I have a tertiary education in mathematic subjects and an excellent track record with improving students

I received an A for Mathematics in every year of my school career, and grew up in a family of mathematicians, on my father's side. Maths has always fascinated me as a subject that is connected to the world around us in a unique way. Teaching skills of conceptualisation and problem-solving is invaluable to me. I have over 5 years of maths tutoring experience.
