I got a distinction for pure maths at the end of matric. I have completed 3 maths courses at uct and achieved a first class pass for 2 of the 3. I believe in solidifying fundamentals and understanding an overview of the topics needed for study before diving into the practical component of learning- method learning is key.

I have an extensive university knowledge of mathematics as well as a BSc degree in Chemical Biology. I've been tutoring maths for 7 years and this makes me an experienced tutor not only with the work itself but because I've dealt with many students, I'm able to accommodate each student's individual personality and needs. I'm approachable and friendly and students respond well to my encouragement and guidance on how to do well. I ask lots of questions and give many examples to ensure that students have a firm grip on the subjects they struggle with. I and very passionate about teaching and enjoy helping students reach their aha moment.

I was a tutor at UCT for the Engineering Department statistics course. I am patient and have a good understanding of the subject. I work towards understanding the pace and the needs of the student to help them improve their confidence and performance in the subject

I have a great passion for mathematics and science. I have a bachelor's degree in science and a certificate in mathematics. I let my students practice as much as possible, in order for them to improve and reach the level they want to reach. The only way to improve math and science, is to DO math and science!

I enjoy tutoring mathematics to primary school children. I achieved a distinction in high school for the subject. Primary school science is important for students to understand how the world works around them. To me, it makes logical sense and can explain the topic well by using examples they can relate to.

I naturally very good at maths and have a knack for the subject. On top of this, I enjoy doing it and have had success in communicating with other students to assist them in understanding. I did AP Maths throughout my High School career and achieved commendably. I worked hard to achieve in both Chemistry and Physics. I am currently studding a Bachelor of Science at UCT, and Chemistry is one of my subjects. I have a solid understanding of Physics, due to my skills in Mathematics mostly. I achieved well in my grade 12 results.

For my high school career, I was placed in the International Baccalaureate program where I studied higher level mathematics. In my final two years of Matric, I was the only student in my school doing higher level mathematics. This HL Maths combined with the mathematics of 3 years of Engineering has given me a much more deeper and appreciative understanding of calculus and mathematics as a whole.

Mathematics has always been my favourite subject in school and my passion for it allows me to help others around me understand the concepts. Science is applied math, which also makes it enjoyable for me. I will be able to explain the concepts and help with the understanding of higher level thinking questions.

I am good with numbers and understand scientific concepts easily. I find these two subjects to be incredibly interesting and have always been fascinated with numbers and scientific concepts. I will go out of my way to make sure that a student understands the work we do in this field, as I know how important it is for their development.

Not only do l just randomly teach l assess the learner's needs. Spend more time on the needs while also slowly developing other mathematical skills as per grade requirements and further. I challenge my learners to become better and better everyday through encouraging them to set goals. I have experience working with learners who are at a higher grade but work at a lower grade level. Am an inclusive education teacher qualified to teacher learners with various learning difficulties. I live and dream Maths and science.
