Being an electrical engineering student, we are taught to tackle very complex mathematical problems. With this knowledge and skills obtained, I am well equipped to teach you ways in which to tackle your own mathematical and science problems efficiently and easily.

Having studied Maths and Science throughout high school and further on into university where I studied Chemical Engineering I have developed a very strong foundation on many topics in the general Maths and science area. This ranges from basic understanding to more complex topics. I received an A in Matric for both Maths and Science and firsts in university for Engineering Maths as well as Chemistry.

I have a great passion for mathematics. I achieved excellent results for mathematics throughout my school career. I also completed a course in advanced programme mathematics (grade 10 -12). I have completed a degree in mechanical engineering at Stellenbosch university and therefore have a higher understanding of the

(Mathematics as a subject which includes trigonometry, functions, calculus, euclidean, analytical Geometry etc - basically 'school' mathematics. Physical Sciences as a subject which includes Newton's Laws, equations of motion, organic chemistry, titrations etc - basically 'school' physical sciences) I love teaching maths and physics!!! I have been teaching maths and physics at my current job for over three years and have seen students grow in confidence as they realise that they're not stupid-they just think differently to their teachers or textbooks and need to remember a few key concepts and skills. I'm skilled at recognising how the learner thinks and adjusting explanations and pace accordingly. I know that learners learn by practicing so I involve them as I teach, giving them a sense of accomplishment from the start. Once I see the learner is comfortable I follow through with practice questions for them to work through with me. I know that CAPS curriculum and various sections of work well enough to guide learners through the great workload and help them focus on what is most important. I am a firm believer in the fact that learning shouldn't be an overwhelming experience and it can be fun, interesting and positively mind-blowing. I achieve this by pacing the content according to the learners capacity (as mentioned above) and also by challenging the learner enough to buff their newly learned skills into shiny confidence in one area at a time.

I love it when people can truly grasp a good fundamental understanding of the base level maths and science. That’s what sets you up to feel very comfortable when you move to higher level stuff and will ultimately allow you to get further faster.

I fully understand the concepts and can easily pick up when someone does not grasp the fundamentals of the concepts. I then work with this person to ensure that they understand the concepts in full and not just learn how to apply the concepts.

I have a broad understanding of maths and science, having studied and tutored maths, statistics, mathematical physics, chemistry and biology at university level, achieving at least 79 in all courses. I think it is crucial to have a holistic view of science and mathematics when tutoring any of the subjects.

I'm a qualified scientist. I work at coca cola as a quality controller though. I have BSc (Honours). I specialized in natural sciences. Subjects that I can tutor would Biology, Life sciences, Physics, Mathematics, History and Geography. Languages is not to bad too but only English and Afrikaans. I tutor all grades 4-12. I have an extremely strong passion for teaching and have experience in teaching and tutoring at numerous schools. I have taught to kids in places like Indonesia, Sri Lanka and India, where I taught in schools to many children of all ages and levels. I believe that there is a special connection between a student and a teacher, in being able to offer knowledge, love, understanding, and a space to grow. I am an energetic, positive, and creative person, with a zest for life, and a deep patience. I have a gift of connecting with children, and am able to be one with children, as well as having the strengths of organizing, planning lessons and being reliable and hard working.
