I grew up in an bilingual home and matriculated with an A in both Afrikaans and English! I now study in English at Stellenbosch University and I also spent a year abroad (receiving schooling in English). I am fully bilingual and able to communicate efficiently in both languages, which definitely helps when people need help learning a language! I believe anyone can learn or improve their Afrikaans with just a little bit of the right help! Afrikaans is a young and beautiful language, and I look forward to spreading my love for it.

I am fully bilingual in both the written and spoken and have taught Afrikaans 2nd language to children for many years at primary school level. i am therefore able to help children with their pronunciation too.

Afrikaans, it may not be an old language but it is by far the most beautiful (not being biased at all). Since Afrikaans is my home language and I have graduated with 88% for Afrikaans Home Language on a IEB level, it is clear that I will be very good at teaching the strange grammar explaining difficult concepts, helping with word pronunciation and explaining difficult concepts.

I am a mature lady who relates well to people of all ages, especially children with whom I love working and in whom I build a passion and love for learning. I am patient and deal with the children in a calm manner teaching them the importance of determination and that nothing is impossible. Together we can conquer each and every subject in a way which they understand and through this they learn a good work ethic and learn self-discipline, in which I am a great believer . I am quick to encourage and praise my students when it is necessary and this helps build their confidence and motivate them to cooperate with me.
