Afrikaans tutors in Western Cape

My home language is Afrikaans, and I have such a big love for this language. I wish to see this language grow and hear more and more people speak Afrikaans. There is no better way to achieve this than helping others speak Afrikaans and improve their skills in this language

My first language is Afrikaans and I passed it with extinction in high school. In the past 30 years, Afrikaans has grown exponentially as a language and there are so many more avenues to explore. I am well familiar with the older, more traditional material and authors, but can add fun and appreciation with more modern Afrikaans. I will cater all my lessons to each pupil individually so that they can explore a deeper appreciation for the language.

I'm a first language Afrikaans speaker with a passion for the language. I completed Afrikaans II at UCT in 2010. My 5 years experience teaching Afrikaans FAL at high school level has equipped me with a keen understanding of the NSC and its requirements.

I have been a TEFL teacher for over 2 years now and have been teaching kids from the age of 4 and up. This has give me the skills to be able to also teach Afrikaans as I am bilingual. I believe the skills I have learn as a TEFL teacher I will be able to transfer to teach Afrikaans as well.

I have a great understanding of the language rules and have had many years of applying them and learning them during my schooling. I have a great understanding of poetry and know the type of information required to answer these sort of questions. I achieved well in my matric finals for Afrikaans.

I am bilingual and am flyer in both English and Afrikaans. I have an understanding of the language and enjoy speaking it. I feel it can be a lot of fun to learn a new language and have always had a love for Afrikaans partly because I am part Afrikaans by blood and also because I simply have a personal love and connection for the language. I have also learnt a lot about how to best teach Afrikaans Second Language.

I matriculated with a distinction in Afrikaans First Additional Language and received mostly A's throughout high school in this subject. I am much better at the language side rather than the creative writing side but I can help in both areas.

Both of my parents are Afrikaans teachers and speak Afrikaans to each other at home. I learnt the rules of the language from a young age and they are now engraved in my brain. My top subject in matric was Afrikaans. I love the language and believe that it is extremely beneficial to be able to speak and understand it in South Africa.

Not only is this my main subject in my B'ed course. This is my home language, school level i also did great and in my job teachers ask me to sit with learners tutoring them in this subject. Where my learners excelled. Statistically it shows that their marks increased since ive been working with these learners.

Have 24 years experience teaching this subject. This subject is very important and the basic principals need to be understood and consoladated. I enjoy using games to teach and consolidate new words and spelling rules.
