Hi there! I'm Belinda and I have 5 years of experience teaching English - which was totally by accident! I initially set out to become a psychologist and to supplement my studies by combining my Bachelor of Psychology degree (from the University of Pretoria, South Africa) with a PGCE (through the University of South Africa), but when I found how much I love teaching, all thoughts of psychology whithered away. I am now in the process of acquiring my Masters in Education through the University of South Wales. I absolutely love sharing my love of language with students, be it visual literacy, poetry, language conventions, reading comprehension, and even novel and Shakespeare analysis. My name is Courtney Brown and I am currently in my second year doing my Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of the Witwatersrand. My majors include Marketing, Management and Economics. I matriculated in 2018 at Hoërskool Linden with an average of 79.2%, and attained distinctions in Afrikaans Home Language, Economics, Life Orientation and Hospitality Studies. I love working with people, especially in a leadership role. I was elected as class captain in 2016 and 2017, and was chosen to be a prefect in matric where I worked a lot with the grade eights. I have a passion for working with children and teenagers, and love assisting them with any type of problem. I am fluent in both Afrikaans and English, as I was raised bilingual.
