I am a responsible second-year Occupational Therapy student with a passion for helping others learn and grow. My goal as a tutor is to help and encourage learners to improve holistically and achieve their goals, both short and long term. I enjoy tutoring because I get to help others learn and it helps to further my learning and understanding of providing aid others to improve to the best of my abilities, which will be an important characteristic in my career choice. I strive to help others learn through explaining concepts in different ways that tailored to that particular learner. I am patient and understanding when it comes to helping others learn. I also know that some concepts are more difficult to understand and may take more time to comprehend, and will help my students through them. Learners who are willing to learn by changing their thought process or mindset and are willing to put in the necessary effort are most likely to improve and achieve their best, and I will aspire to inspire this attitude in my students.

I am an experienced, warm and friendly tutor who teach students with understanding, skill and patience. Whether my student is English or Afrikaans, I tutor Maths fluently in both languages and am qualified with a BSc Mathematics degree. For the past 11 years I had my own High School tutoring business in the Port Elizabeth area and excel in applying teaching techniques and fulfilling teaching objectives with students at various levels of ability. I am well experienced in breaking down complex Mathematical concepts to understandable concepts in a creative manner. It is important to me to see students progress, have a positive attitude towards Mathematics and successfully reach their goal for the subject. Teaching Mathematics is one of my strongest aptitudes. My results with previous students: 10-20% improvement within one term to one year and some students improved with up to 40%. Remember to not postpone too long – Mathematics takes a lot of practice and in most cases starting ‘earlier’ is the best option for you to be able to obtain good results / your desired result.

Hi! I am a recent graduate from the University of Stellenbosch. I have a BSc degree in Human Life Science and Psychology, with a double major in Physiology and Psychology and a minor in Genetics. I also have a Postgraduate qualification in Education or PGCE (cum laude). I am a qualified teacher, specialising in Life Science Education as well as Life Orientation. As you can tell, I'm very passionate about the study of human beings. I am also a certified English language instructor. In addition to Language, Life Science and Psychology related subjects, my educational background equips me with knowledge about academic writing, reading, citation as well as study skills and methods. Pergan left a career as a hedge fund manager to study philosophy abroad for 3 years. Having returned to South Africa he has shifted his focus to education where he hopes to play a part in cultivating young thinkers. Pergan has a natural affinity for numbers and logic. He has a well established in both the theoretical and practical aspects of mathematics, statistics, philosophy, science, economics and finance. Prior to his career in investment management he studied Financial Mathematics and Actuarial science, graduating cum-laude. Pergan has extensive experience in tutoring high school Mathematics and university Statistics. I am a graduate in Psychology. I'm finishing my internship in Clinical Psychology at the end of January 2020, at Free State Psychiatric Complex in Bloemfontein. I did my undergrad degree in Psychology with UNISA, Honours degree at NWU-PUK, and Master's Degree with NWU Mafikeng campus. I'm currently working on finishing my thesis/research script. I Methembe Gingqi have been tutoring for the past three years. I have tutored both privately and for various tutoring organisations. The subjects which I specialise in are core Maths, Physical Sciences, Geography and Biology. I believe in my capabilities especially due to my background as a learner in an IEB private school(Domino Servite Combined Private School) based in KwaZulu Natal. I also believe that in order to be a great tutor one needs to have good communication skills, reasoning and the ability to explain complex concepts in a simplified manner. I am currently a student at the University of Pretoria in Industrial Engineering. I have a great passion for seeing young pupils achieve their full potential by teaching and showing them the ways I achieved my success at school. I am a very comfortable person and have a flexible schedule to fit into anyone's needs. I am currently working as a Junior Data Scientist at the South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO) under the Square Kilometer Array Africa (SKA-Africa) project. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Physics, an Honours degree in Astrophysics and recently, I hold an MSc specializing in Astronomy and Data Science with the University of Cape Town. I have a passion for knowledge sharing because I believe that education is the only tool we have that can change the world. Hence, I have more than 8 years of experience of tutoring dating way back when I was still in high school. Mathematics and Physical Sciences are my most two favourite subjects because I want to change the stigma associated with these two subjects.

I'm a third year Bcom financial management student at UNISA. I have always been good with numbers and I love it hence I chose a career in Financial management.
