Hi All I am a person that is very passionate about teaching. I had my own struggles in school and university and learnt how to seek help and mentorship from others. During school I completed Cambridge A-levels and went on to study Electrical Engineering at Wits university and completed my studies in record time. I have had several tutors in my experience that helped me get through the most difficult times. I am looking for an opportunity to give back become a brilliant tutor as I know the role tutoring and helping others has played in my life. I enjoy scientific subjects such as Maths, Physics, Chemistry. I believe I will make a great tutor and I love relaying knowledge over to the next person.

I am a 25 year old male with a Masters degree in Ancient Egyptian Culture from Swansea University. I completed my Bachelors of Arts in Humanities at Stellenbosch University, majoring in Philosophy and Ancient Cultures. Thereafter I completed my Honours degree in Ancient Cultures at Stellenbosch University. Furthermore, I am a FA level two qualified football coach with experience in coaching children. As a coach I worked in London, England as well as in Ghana where I acquired the skills to teach children not only about sport and discipline, but also about important social issues, including the prevention of diseases such as Malaria and HIV. I am passionate about working with children and helping people achieve their goals. I am a passionate learner and a engaging teacher. I believe as a tutor I can inspire and motivate people to achieve their goals through hard work and a positive mindset.

My name is Michael and I am philosopher, writer, filmmaker and artist with a passion for meaningful storytelling. I have a significant interest in using various mediums to craft stories with the potential to deconstruct the liminal borderlines between myth and history. I have written several award winning short stories, screenplays, and plays, written and directed for television; directed and produced a feature film which is soon to be released; and I have directed and produced several short films and documentaries that have gone on to win numerous awards at both local and international film festivals. Academically, I have a BA PPE (Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics), a Honours Degree in Philosophy, and I am currently about to finish my Masters Degree in Philosophy. I also love music, reading, and football!

Hi :) I'm a recent BSc Mathematics graduate, passionate about learning (almost anything) and teaching others. We live in a very interesting world, and how privileged are they who get the opportunity to learn more about it! In my free time I like to play guitar, jog, and read about Space Science. For the rest, I'm a research student and spend my time learning how to use satellite images to predict the crop yields of farms.

I am Mia Hyslop and I am a qualified mathematics teacher. I have my Bsc Honours in Mathematics education from Wits University and I have been teaching for 5 years now. I loved mathematics at school as it was the only subject that was not affected by my learning difficulty. Due to this, I became interested in how people learn and want to assist learners to achieve their best under challenging circumstances. I am a patient teacher. I always try to get my learners to understand the mathematical concept rather than learning it off by heart. This is more time consuming but I have found it to be beneficial in the long run.

My name is Tadiwanashe (but you may call me Tiwa or Tadi) and I am a 27 year old female working as an Environmental Scientist. I am super passionate about the environment, hence my career choice. My highest qualification is a Master of Science in Environmental Science from the University of the Witwatersrand. I am also passionate about learning and sharing knowledge which is why I have been teaching and tutoring for 5 years across various disciplines. My favourite subjects to tutor include Geography / Environmental Studies, English, Life Orientation, Natural Science, Social Science and Study Skills. My name is Justin. I am a qualified intermediate phase teacher with a bachelor of education degree. I have also attained a 150hr TEFL course. I have worked in two international schools, one being in Thailand and the other in Vietnam. During my contacts at these establishments I taught English to both highschool and primary school students. I believe in a holistic approach to teaching and learning. Not only does the student grow mentally but also socially, psychologically, and emotionally. It also instills curiosity and creativity in the learner. This allows for student individuality to occur through the variety of teaching and learning styles within the holistic approach.

Currently, I am a Chemistry & Physics double major at the University of South Africa. I am also full-time employed at the moment as Head of Corporate Finance at JJT Chartered Accountants & Registered Auditors. My goal is to supply quality education to High School students both online and after the pandemic in person. I also participate in Research assistance at the University and conduct original research at Kolabtree. I plan on obtaining my Ph.D. in Astrophysics at the University of South Africa.
