My name is Justin. I am a qualified intermediate phase teacher with a bachelor of education degree. I have also attained a 150hr TEFL course. I have worked in two international schools, one being in Thailand and the other in Vietnam. During my contacts at these establishments I taught English to both highschool and primary school students. I believe in a holistic approach to teaching and learning. Not only does the student grow mentally but also socially, psychologically, and emotionally. It also instills curiosity and creativity in the learner. This allows for student individuality to occur through the variety of teaching and learning styles within the holistic approach.

I majored in Math and Science. During my degree we did multiple practical’s. I learned several teaching skills. These skills consisted of methods and strategies that would be beneficial to all learning styles. I have had the opportunity to teach lessons during my practical experiences. I also tutor my younger sister, which has allowed me to practice and master these skills. It is important that students understand that they can utilise different approaches and still get the same outcome. This way learners develop independent thinking and therefore become more confident with their mathematical ability.

I majored in Math and Sciences. Natural Sciences is one of my favourite subjects. I am passionate about teaching effective, high standard science lessons. This is achieved by utilising different teaching methods that bring out the desire to learn. These methods include conducting lessons in and outside of the classroom where students are active participants. This way students are taught how to think rather than what to think. Therefore, students are able to build and understand knowledge based on the laws of nature and the physical world.

I have had the opportunity to teach English in Thailand and Vietnam. I worked in two international schools. I taught in High School and Primary School. I had the responsibility of a homeroom classroom in both establishments. During my contracts at these schools I was required to teach IGCSE, general English, reading, writing, and speaking. Students were non- native English speakers and therefore I had to find methods and strategies to implement understanding. This was done through explicit teaching. The concept of this approach is- I do, we do, they do. The outcome of this made the students more confident when communicating in English. I also gained an immense amount of patience from these experiences.
