Hi. My name is Sli. Maths and science is my passion! I find so such joy in sharing my knowledge with students who are willing to ace their studies. I'm an Industrial Engineer by profession, I hold a BSc (Hons) in Industrial Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand. I studied Accounting, Afrikaans, Business Studies, English, History and Pure Mathematics in high school but I am able to help with other subjects up to a grade 9 level too. Hi I have a BCom degree in Information Systems from Wits university and a BCom Honours in Business Informatics from Unisa. I love to help people reach their goals and see them succeed and I am very organized and always up for a challenge. I’m kind and very helpful and have great attention to detail.

At school I was a fairly average student until I figured out how to think critically and understand what is being asked. I have a passion for what I like to call "Productivity Philosophy" which is my own way of realising how to get things done, properly and thoroughly. I studied quite an advanced university degree , Chemical Engineering , which forced me to figure out the most effective study techniques or else I would forfeit all my free time. I am social, enjoy my sleep and love performing well in any aspect be it sports or academically. Therefore achieving the balance of the triangle (Sleep, Social life, Study) was a must for me and I will teach you how to do the same.

I am a qualified Industrial Engineer with a passion for the outdoors and a love for fitness. Current interests are new Information Technology trends, Robotic Process Automation, System Analysis Process Analysis and anything adventurous (before or after business hours).

I believe a safe and comfortable teaching environment where a learner blossoms under their own exploration of a language is most fruitful. Where Authentic and creative ways are used in order to suit the student as an individual, not a robot. Each learner evolves and improves with in their own way. It is a teacher's job to find that uniqueness in a student and teach in a way that will be most stimulating to the individual. Abit about me: I'm an artistic and social being, spending most of my free time playing an instrument , singing and socialising with friends. I love meeting new people that I can get to understand especially if they are from different backgrounds, countries and cultures. I love horse riding and spending time in the outdoors, jogging, hiking or taking long walks. The beach is my favourite place to be on a sunny day , swimming in the waves and tanning on the hot sand.

I am currently employed as Human Resources Business Partner. Coaching has been part of my career for the last five years. I am kind, passionate and very patient to communicate with people from different cultures. During my studies, I volunteered to teach English for 6 months to children in disadvantaged communities.

I am a process engineer with a love of maths and science. I want to share that passion with young people and inspire as many people as possible. I believe that anybody can master the principles of maths and science if they're given the background and the chance to do so. I enjoy learning about scientific concepts such as relativity, quantum mechanics, and super string theory. I also practice kenjutsu, iaijutsu and jujutsu, and am an amateur astronomer.

I am a retired educator/HR Practitioner who had taught English, Afrikaans History and Mathematics for 26+ years to different grades, specifically from Grade 7 to Grade 12 (the previous Standards 5 to 10). I later entered the corporate world in the field of human resources, and I was in this profession as HR Manager for over 17 years. Furthermore, I was a part-time lecturer in Copywriting at the Open Window University of Arts (Centurion) for five months in 2013, and I am currently still free-lancing in the field of skills development as Skills Development Facilitator, Assessor and writer of outcomes-based training manuals. In terms of formal qualifications, I possess a 4-Year Diploma in Education, a B.A. degree in the humanities (with majors History and Afrikaans-Nederlands via the University of the Free State), a Certificate in Advanced Labour Relations (via the University of Pretoria), a Certificate in Hiring and Recruitment Practices (Unisa), a Certificate in Basic Bookkeeping (Damelin) and various skills development courses. I'm currently employed as an Accounts Supervisor for a cost consulting entity. I am also still validly registered as an educator with the South African Council of Educators (SACE). I have always been an educator at heart, and now, in my retirement, I still have the desire to transfer knowledge, skills and expertise to a younger generation.
