I have helped students with insufficient basic concepts understanding of mathematics to achieve adequate level of understanding by focusing on the individual's needs. This was all through by being part of TeachSA organization as an Ambassador for mathematics. My approach to teaching leaves my student calling anything that has to do with calculations as "a work in a park". Hello there! My name is Shereen Younis. I have recently graduated in a Bachelor of Laws with distinction from the University of Pretoria. As a new graduate, I am interested in broadening my horizons and expanding on my experiences before beginning work as a potential lawyer. I decided that the best way to do this would be to embark on the adventure of tutoring. The reason why I chose this path is that I have always had a passion for wanting to help others and I can do this by teaching them. I feel as though I would be suited for this job as it requires good interpersonal skills, which I have gained through past experiences such as my involvement in the United Nations Association of South Africa, Pretoria Chapter (UNASA). With UNASA we interacted with children who had no knowledge of their rights and provided them with further insight regarding their rights. We played different games and completed different exercises to teach them these rights. I can tutor young children as well as high school learners and university students (law modules). I am a very fun and bubbly person but I make sure I reach my objectives. I am easy going and understanding which I feel would make me a suitable tutor.

I am a qualified English language and literature teacher with so much experience. I have over 22 years of teaching experience. I have produced good results over the years. My first six years of my teaching were in the Cambridge system where I was responsible for O level and A level English. I then moved into a new environment where we were teaching OBE. The current matriculation system is on CAPS.I have experience in marking O level. I have for the past 5 years been invited to mark end of year national examinations. I always endeavour to produce high quality work with my learners. I am committed to my work and always strive to get the best out of my learners.

I am a qualified Chartered Accountant and completed my articles at Standard Bank. I studied at the University of Cape Town where I started tutoring Mathematics, Statistics and Accounting ( first and second-year level). I have over 7 years of tutoring experience with my main focus being various subjects aim at the chartered accounting profession.
