History was one of my favourite subjects during my high school career and I would often ‘teach’ my friends the information we needed to know. I received a high ‘A’ in my matric for history and am going to be studying history in university. I achieved a distinction for my first year in university and was one of the top achievers for my year.

History taught me to look at the world differently and helped to shape the person I am today. It taught me how to structure my thoughts and ideas and arguments as well as logically formalise them. It taught me how to write a coherent essay and how best to share ideas in both an opinionated and non-opinionated way. I would love to show someone how history could help them see the world in a new light as well as prepare them for the writing that comes with any university degree.
