My name is Rachel Kroukam and I am currently studying at the University of Pretoria. I am studying Foundation Phase Education and am in my third year. I love teaching and I am available throughout the day due to varsity being online. I have a lot of patience and am willing to help aid you through your studies. I can speak fluent English and can understand Afrikaans and a little bit of Zulu. My main focus is on the foundation phase (Grades 1-3) but can also assist in the intermediate and senior phases. I took Maths Core, English, Afrikaans, Life Orientation, History, Geography, Drama as well as Advanced Program English in school and achieved above 70% for all my subjects. I really would like to become an online tutor because, with this virus and the uncertainty that comes with it, everyone just needs a little bit of help to get through. And that is what I am here for.

I job shadowed teachers for 3 weeks and taught 6 of my own lessons. This experience helped me gain insight into what it is like to be a real teacher and to see what would happen on a day to day basis and what challenges to expect with children from Grades RRR-R.
