I am a passionate reader and am even busy writing my own book. I love classical literature and plays. My pet joys unlike anyone else is Shakespeare. I have studied English literature to 3rd level at university and taught it to matric level.

I have always had a fascination with English Literature. This is because it it goes beyond the surface of the oridinary meaninhg and structure of words and introduces us to alternative perspectives and meanings of words. I also believe this fascination is as a result of my love for stories and the manner in which in represents reality and gives voices to abstract things that otherwise exists as loud voiceless creatures.

I have 4 years' experience in tutoring this subject. I'm also studying English literature I plan on becoming an English teacher one day Students I have taught have seen positive results. I'm an A student in literature work at Varsity I break the work down for students to make the work easier to understand. I also go through mock exams with students so they know what is expected of them.

Literature is a art for me and I take great delight in looking into different types of literature. I believe literature is a reflection of different eras and learners can prosper from engaging in the content of each literature piece.

I love reading novels, online communication such as blogs and I excell well in interpreting text and critical thinking and analysing the message or purpose portrayed in text. In varsity I acquired skills pertaining to thorough reading, analysing and summarising literature as well as the characters personality portrayed by the writer.

I have studied 5 English language education modules while obtaining my bachelor of education degree. These English language education modules were " Foundations in English literary studies", " Foundations in English language studies", " Applied English language studies", "Genres in literature and language: Theory, style and poetics" and " colonial and postcolonial African literature". I have taught English to primary school learners and hence gained experience. I am able to teach literature in a way that will bring stories and poetry to live and inspire you in writing while using the correct grammar, style and language.

I achieved a distinction for English when I matriculated (including 100% for a literature essay during my preliminary examinations), won the Wordsmith Prize for writing giving me an affinity and insight into the process, and enjoy literature and research it in my free time. I particularly enjoy short stories and Shakespeare

I have completed all English modules needed for a Bachelor's Degree in Education, however, I have not managed to complete all modules required to acquire my degree. I have succeeded in teaching Grade 8 students at a rural school in Mahlabathinin with English literature kills. English literature is a passion of mine and do enjoy the theatre of literature. I have studied through Embury and I have done well in Academic literature skills. I have also upskilled my self with many courses in order to equip myself to better impact younger children with their literacy skills.
