English is my passion: it was one of the majors of my first degree at UCT, and is currently the subject I teach at the private high school where I am employed. I have extensive knowledge of the CAPS and IEB curricula, as well as experience in the Cambridge curriculum; finally, I have experience teaching English in a wide range of modalities, from in-person, to the context of a classroom, to online.

I passed Grade 12 English 1st Language (HG) with a "B" symbol (70-79%). I have been conducting research since 3rd year university level in Geography where writing skills, grammar, and a more in-depth understanding of English is required.

I am studying Education in Foundation Phase specializing in English as a Home Language and would love to help children excel in English. I have achieved 70% for English at University level and feel I can help young children become more confident towards English and allow children to understand why English can be so much fun learning it

I'm a patient and kind teacher, who in high school received above 85% for both English literature and language, as well as for Advanced Programme English. I am passionate about storytelling, writing, and reading - all of which are both hobbies and skills that can be taught, which is where I come in.

Throughout my studies, I have needed to write many written works. All these pieces requires a certain level of understanding, not only of the course work, but of the English language, to correctly portray the information and concepts, and of interpreting and understanding literature.

As a Geologist I am required to write and communicate in very fluent English with clients and colleagues. I obtained an A for English in my Matric year. I am passionate about the English language and believe that everyone should be proficient in the language as it is the business language and is used all across the world as a medium of communication.

Given my profession as an attorney and my level of achievement in high school IEB English, I am of the opinion that I am well equipped to tutor English and Literature and help students master the written aspect of the subject.
