I love the English language, there's always something new and interesting to to learn about. It is also my home language and what I primarily speak in so communication alone is already a step forward when assisting with tutoring.

I I am bilingual and am flyer in both English and Afrikaans. I have an understanding of the language and enjoy speaking it. I feel it can be a lot of fun to learn a new language and have always had a love for Afrikaans partly because I am part Afrikaans by blood and also because I simply have a personal love and connection for the language. I have also learnt a lot about how to best teach Afrikaans Second Language. a good understanding of subject content as well as how best to teach it thanks to all I have learnt through my degree and personal life experiences. I am patient and have great understanding for pupils who take longer to understand a given subject or topic due to my own experiences as a child.

I have completed 1 year of English at UJ of which I thoroughly enjoyed learning English to a greater extent. I am currently tutoring a English student who is far behind in their curriculum and is progressing very fast to where he needs to be. I believe once you have mastered English then your are a step closer to something great in your future.

I have a very good understanding of English Language as well as Literature. I have always achieved A's and B's in this area. Studying drama all my life has also helped a lot with my understanding of English.

I have done literature since primary school and I really enjoy teaching learners various techniques and skills to unpack and understand literature, skills that I have learned and developed over the years. Many learners find literature difficult to understand. I want to change that misconception and get learners to enjoy learning literature.

I have a passion for the English language and literature as I like to read and write in my spare time. My BA degree also means that I am proficient in essay writing, referencing, grammar and appropriate wording. English is my second language so I understand the struggles that come with learning and mastering the subject.

I am the best tutor for this subject because firstly, I am computer literate so teaching online is no obstacle. Secondly, I am a qualified foundation phase teacher and I am currently teaching grade 2 full time so I have the necessary experience and knowledge. Lastly, I am also furthering my qualification into Inclusive Education so I will be able to assist those students with learning difficulties.
