I received an A in Matric for English and was always praised for my Literature essays. I find teaching Literature really fun, I can help you not only understand what the author is trying to say but I will also help you appreciate the beauty of their words. The same goes for anything to do with grammar and language, I am part of the grammar Nazi nation and feel that good grammar and language skills are the most important skills to have when entering the job market. People really do take you seriously when you know how to write a good email!

I graduated matric top of my class in English FAL. I have always done well in lingustics and subjects English related from primary to high school. I have also received a certificate for excellent performance in lingustic subject, Modern Greek (first year) in university. I have worked as a volunteer tutor teaching Grade 11 classes English FAL and Home language.

I did English Home Language in my high school years, achieving no less than a 70% throughout my entire high school career. I have proven methods to learning and revising (which are adapted to a specific individuals' goals and strengths) that make the approach to learning English grammar and vocabulary an easier task.

I am well spoken in the language. I can read and write in Afrikaans as well. I always identify what level my student is on by giving them a pre screening to determine where we should start with the subject. I make my lessons fun and stimulating.

English is my first language and I have continuously nurtured the academic background with creative writing, rigorous reading and obtaining TEFL certificates. I have energy, passion, humility adaptability. Not only do I take English as a language but also as a social binder that brings about knowledge, opportunities of influence and lifetime change.

I have tutored English for the past three years and I have learnt a lot about helping others to better engage with the subject. It was one fo my favourite subjects throughout my school career and I am an avid reader as well and I love doing my best to make the subject as enjoyable as possible.

I have completed my LTCL teaching diploma in English language and drama as well as currently doing my degree in linguistics and journalism which gives me an in depth knowledge into the English Language.

I love English especially poetry, back in High school I realised English was the only subject that I fully applied myself in. As i'm currently studying with UNISA , i'm also excelling at English and i'm learning more as I advance. Aspiring to be a writer myself , tutoring will not only benefit the students but me as an individual as well. I will be the best tutor for this subject because i'm motivated and ready , well prepared rather.

I have 4 years of teaching experience in this subject. I make lessons as easy and enjoyable as possible. Students never feel afraid to ask me any questions because I create a comfortable and open atmosphere which calms the students whom I teach.

I have participated in multiple English Olympiads, achieving either Silver or Gold levels. I also achieved high marks in my matric results for the subject and have completed an Arts and Humanities course at university. I have also received prizes for competing in poetry competitions. In my free time, I write poetry and short stories.
