Hello! My name is Alexi. I am a Canadian/South African final year occupational therapy student at wits University and can use my skills as such to help all children, even children who struggle with school! I can help especially with study and learning techniques as well as school content. I am also very technology savvy and will be able to provide assistance ans tutoring through any prefered application. Lastly, due to lockdown my availability is highly flexible!

I'm 29 years old I have 7 years of teaching experience including special education. I love being a teacher and to help students reach their goals and full potential to the best of their abilities. I understand completely that each learner has their own strengths and learning methods. That's why individual tutoring is definitely one of my favorite ways to teach content and to be able to help and nurture learners so that they can become better in all their subjects. Learning should be fun and at the end rewarding and that's my main goal.

I am enthusiastic person that has a unique approach to teaching due to experience gained from my sporting background. My sporting career is linked to playing hockey at a national level for South Africa and passing my gained knowledge through coaching to younger players within in the hockey community. As a result, I have taught students from a variety of age groups and can easily adapt my teaching methods as required. Currently, I am completing my final year of study in accounting sciences (honours) at the University of the Witwatersrand and would be a suitable candidate to assist a student who requires assistance with accounting related subjects such as economics and core accounting classes.

I am a vibrant teacher with a passion for learning. I am studying my Bed-Intermediate to senior phase. Though I am still studying I have had the opportunity to teach and manage my own classes. I can assist with the following learning areas: Afrikaans, English, Natural Science, History, Geography and Technology. I am a qualified Afrikaans teacher and tutor with 10 years experience in both the IEB and NSC curriculum. I have helped many students reach their full potential in Afrikaans FAL and have helped them gain the confidence required to excel in the subject. I am especially passionate about helping learners understand the prescribed literature and how to go about analyzing and answering it during a test or exam. I also have proven methods of teaching language rules that make it possible to answer any language question.

I am currently studying a BA in Dramatic Arts at Wits University, hoping to major in Applied Drama, Psychology, and English. I am passionate about teaching and aim to instil a passion for learning within those I teach. I aim to teach professionally later in life once I have received my degree and feel that tutoring serves as valuable experience towards that goal. I am more than willing to adapt my tutoring methods to each individual in order to ensure they get the most out of each lesson. I will go over and above (often creating many colourful visual worksheets, posters and notes in terms of resources) to ensure interactive, positive and memorable learning experiences.

I am a recent Psychology and Criminology graduate from Victoria University of Wellington and will begin my masters in Clinical Neuropsychiatry in September. I am an organised and reliable individual that aims to help students understand content on a deeper level as well as encouraging them to think critically and analytically. I have a strong passion for helping others achieve their goals and dreams and to reach their full potential. As a tutor, I will not only help students achieve their academic goals but also make learning fun by providing them with different learning tools and techniques.

3rd year student studying a B.Ed in Foundation Phase. Have previous work with tutoring and au pairing. I enjoy assisting children with their homework and finding creative and fun ways to motivate them. I love my sports too, swimming and running.

I have been helping people with Maths and Science for over 5 years. I firmly believe that anybody can do well in these subjects if they are dedicated and have somebody that is willing and able to guide and help them. I love to be that person for people struggling and see how they improve over time. I started tutoring with underprivileged children around Johannesburg and have since then helped children of all ages and abilities.
