After four years of Theological study, my passion for influencing the next generation has only increased. Having learnt much about the contextual realities for Youth in the 21st century, I believe I am well equipped to handle teaching and influencing children of all ages in South Africa today. I am currently enrolled at Stadio (Embury) to complete a P.G.C.E (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) specifically focusing on Life Orientation, and hopefully at a later stage to further my learning in English and Geography studies. For the past 8 years I have been involved in Youth Ministries with the Church, ranging from leading large youth groups to doing many Holiday Clubs where I amongst other leaders taught and influenced children for a week (once, sometimes twice) in a year sice 2014. From all my ministry experience I have found that my strongest place of influence is in working with individuals, specifically in giving counselling and guidance and support. My greatest desire at the moment is to work in schools, as this is where many children who could benefit from guidance are found. Having enjoyed my five years at Pretoria Boys High School being actively involved in School and Hostel Prefectships, as well as playing first team for both Rugby and Basketball, my hope is to lead youngsters to do their absolute best despite the challenges life will often throw at them. In school, I also tried to be as involved as possible as I spent some time doing first aid and many years in my school choir and the University of Pretoria Youth Choir. I believe in having a well balanced life, from doing your best on the sports field, to being involved in some form of culture and always striving for success in the academic field as well. my desire is to see children learn to do this as soon as possible to the benefit of their own futures one day. At present I am in a position to offer tutoring to a primary school children, whilst I complete my PGCE.

I am currently studying History, Human Movement Sciences as well as Life Orientation. In my first year I attained three distinctions in both of my semesters. In Highschool I took Math Core, Biology, Physics and History.

Hi, my name is Zian Strydom. I am 20 years old. I am a current University student at the University of Pretoria. I am currently studying English, Psychology and Human Movement studies. I love teaching and interacting with younger students and strive to make learning fun. I attended Fourways High School and chose to take Geography, Business Studies, Biology and Mathematics as my main subjects in High School. I am very fond of sports and regard myself as a very active person. I chose Education as my degree choice because of my love for teaching and the rewards that come with it. I regard myself as very easy going and approachable and strive to make teaching a fun experience. I am a very big animal lover and often Pet and House sit as a hobby.

i have experience of teaching primary school children from grade zero to grade 7. i have also tutored grade 8-12 students before. i love teaching and inspiring the children i have a privilege of meeting.

I am currently a civil engineering student and mentor, I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others and support those who need feel hopeless, for I always say to my students that "Nothing is impossible without effort" . I also love music (piano and organ) and play tennis.

I see myself as a life long student and a 'Jack of all trades'. I love Mathematics, Science, Geography, History and Literature and I also like imparting my acquired knowledge to society. My philosophy in life is to always have a passion for excellence, because i believe it breeds amazing results and always brings out the best in every endeavor.

I am a 20 year old female student studying medicine (MBChB) at the University of Pretoria. I received a 91% average for my NSC 2015 Matric exams. I love tutoring others and am very friendly. I am very good at engaging my students and always find the best method of teaching to suit their individual needs. I am also very committed. I have my own transport and a valid driver's license.
