History tutors in Johannesburg

Having taken History as a subject for Matric, I believe I am familiar with the IEB syllabus. Furthermore, I have experience tutoring History to high school students ranging from grades 8 through to 12.

Grade 3 - Grade 9 history. This is my absolutely favorite subject. I am extremely passionate about it! I am good with younger children (I have 2 younger siblings). I find ways to make history enjoyable and easy to remember, and I receive high distinctions in my essay writings and exams. I also have all my previous tests and work in this subject from Grade 5 to Grade 9, which will be helpful for the student to practice and be exposed to different exam-type questions.

I have achieved brilliant results in all my Humanities courses, including History. I am passionate about History. I have the ability to explain anything to its simplest form. My students have achieved great results after been tutored by me. I come highly recommended in every subject I have taught. I am patient and highly skilled in teaching. I have received a minimum of an A in History throughout my high school years. I appreciate the subject for its ability to develop one's mind towards being able to process large quantities of data. This skill has proven extremely beneficial in my interaction with varsity reading material.

As a Humanities student I truly believe that History is one of the most important subjects at school. Not only for its ability to contextualize historic events and allow for a better understanding of our world but also for the way it teaches you to think. The critical thinking that the subject requires is a vital skill, not only if one wants to further their studies, but also for the real world. As someone who understands this and has truly benefited from the subject this would be an area of focus for my classes. In addition I received a distinction for the subject in matric and am familiar with the curriculum.

I've always been an avid history buff. I was the nerdy kid who used to watch the History channel, and to this day I still watch historical shows on Netflix. I received 89% for History in Matric, and I look forward to helping you enjoy this subject. As a journalism student at university, I am able to write and report in many different formats. I will work with you on essay formats, how to prepare for discursive essays, and how to understand sources.

I thoroughly enjoyed History in High School and took it up in University which increased my knowledge that does not limit me to a singular curriculum but various curriculums that include IEB,Cambridge A, AS and O' Levels respectively as well as DBE.

My current field of study involves an in-depth engagement with the past and its impact on the present; I've been required to develop a keen awareness of the importance of historical context. I'm actually busy writing an oral history of the emergency medical services in Johannesburg at the moment!

I studied history up until 2nd year in university, so I have an abundance of knowledge on different historical topics. I am particularly good at essay writing skills. I obtained a distinction in matric for history.

I did History up to Grade 12 and it is a subject that I enjoy and have good knowledge of. My university education has also given me critical thinking and research skills that are important to studying History
