English Language and Literature tutors in Johannesburg

Hi I am a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology student at the University of the Witwatersrand. I am passionate about education as its influence is far-reaching even outside the bounds of a classroom or school context. I am a Chairperson of an organisation called M-HARP (Mental Health Awareness and Renewal Program) which deals with educating individuals about mental health (see www.mentalharp.co.za). I am also a writer and a blogger on www.odysseyunfolded.wordpress.com. I can tutor language subjects primarily English and Afrikaans. I can additionally tutor Maths especially at a senior phase of highschool.

I am currently a final year Bachelor of Pharmacy student at the University of the Witwatersrand. I love working with people, am extremely patient and a great communicator which I believe makes me an exceptional tutor. The subject areas that I am hugely passionate about and competent in are Life Sciences/Biology, Geography, English and Afrikaans (First Additional Language).

I am the best tutor because I have a qualification in this field majoring in English language and literature. I believe that I can boost learners confidence in their classrooms by improving their grades because I have gained maximum of three years teaching experience and was once able to produce these results during my previous years of teaching experience and as a volunteer in other schools.

I have received 86% for my overall English subject when matriculating high school and have too received 84% for AP English, which is specifically focused on the crucial analysis of written texts. More prominently I have completed three years of undergraduate English studies at Wits University, which means that I have a profound understanding of studying literary works and writing persuasive academic essays on a university-equivalent level.
