I am Deborah Brown, but go by Debbie. I'm 21 Years old. I'm currently studying at the University of Pretoria. I am quite dedicated to things that mean a lot to me and am quite diligent with everything that I do. I enjoy socializing and spending time with friends and family. I enjoy being active and keeping myself busy. I am a hard worker and like a challenge. I am quite friendly and kind and tend to always be smiling.

I am passionate about teaching mathematics. I use methods that are simple and fun to ensure each learner is captivated by the content that is being covered. I hold an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering and I am currently busy with my Masters degree which is based on Computational Mathematics. In my spare time I play video games and build mobile apps.

I am a highly motivated person possessing 7-8 years of solid experience in the administrative field. I have demonstrated a commitment to exceeding service delivery to customers in a timely and cost effective manner; I have met many deadlines and did not exceed it. As you will note from my enclosed resume, in my most recent role I have done something very different to my previous work experiences. Through my excellent interpersonal and communications skills, I have displayed an exceptional ability to form and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders, staff and senior management up to an Executive level. My competencies also include mechanical components and maintenance.I am currently studying project management.

I am an individual with a passion for Education and helping others. I completed Grade 12 in 2008, with 6 distinctions. I completed a degree in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Pretoria the year 2012, followed by honours in 2013. I became a teaching assistant while completing my honours. I worked with a variety of learners and experienced lecturers. I completed a one year graduate programme with a micro lending company in 2014. I started working for a life insurance company the year 2015, and became the member of ASSA (Actuarial Society of South Africa). I am currently completing my exams towards qualifying as an Actuary.

I am a married Mom of 3 daughters. One of my daughters was diagnosed with ADHD in Grade 0 and attended a remedial school until Grade 3. She is now working, having completed her Honours degree. As such I have extensive experience in the patience and effort required to help ADHD children to master themselves and their studies. With my youngest daughter now being at university I have some evening time on my hands from 18h00. I am keen to help any Grade 0-9 pupils where they need help - reading, pronunciation, English, Afrikaans, Life Orientation, even Excel or knitting! My Matric subjects were English, Afrikaans, Maths, History, Science and Biology. My day job is an IT Consultant so I am a problem-solver. I have very good communication, organisational, time management and Microsoft Office skills. I am energetic, ethical and hard working.
