I achieved a distinction in Matric for history, and have cultivated a strong set of essay writing skills through English tutoring. Excelling in history includes learning the facts, interpreting questions, and writing exemplary essays. These are all skills that I place focus on in my lessons, as well as targeting any specific projects the student may have.

In history we never stop learning. Everything that exists now, will be written down for someone else to learn. We never stop learning, we never stop moving. I have enough patience to teach this subject, to help you the student, now only know the facts, but to visualise the subject matter, and understand why things exist. I also have enough knowledge to guide to getting the best possible marks that you can for this subject.

I completed History as a subject in high school, which I was incredibly passionate about. I also have completed a BA Law degree at Wits University, which includes fundamentals such as essay writing, critical thinking, and application of knowledge, which are key aspects to excelling in History!

I have a Master’s in History, and a number of years teaching the subject. I am also extremely passionate about my subject and always strive to learn as much as I can on the subject including how to present the content in different ways. I have had the pleasure of teaching from primary school up to University level and I have been fortunate enough to have taught both IGCSE, IGCE and the CAPS curriculums. Being a teacher for a number of years has taught me to understand that my students all have different learning styles and it is best to apply these styles to their learning experience. History topics range from Modern History, southern African History, Military History and Ancient Near Eastern and Classical History.

during my matric year I received a distinction in history. I love the learning about the different events that have taken place in history. I enjoy teaching students on how to write history essays and easy ways in which to remember important dates and events. I enjoy explaining different parts of history and how it all ties up.

I had the highest performance in my matric final result. I have a strong passion and love for history so much so that I was apart of the history club in high school and received the highest award achievement for it.

I have experience with teaching and tutoring young children.I also have a TEFL teaching certificate. I also grew up in a bilingual home and am fluent in Afrikaans and English.I also obtained distinctions in varsity and high school for history and I am very passionate about history. I would love to share that with you.

This was my favourite subject in high school and something which I quickly learnt tricks for to help me remember dates, names and all the nitty-gritty information in between. Knowing history is something of importance if we want to understand the present (and the possible future).
