History tutors in Johannesburg South

I am extremely good and passionate about History. I passed the subject very well in matric and throughout school. I would really love to teach and help students finding History difficult when learning or studying.

I have a B.Ed degree in History. I have been teaching high school history for 4 years, and I'm planning to do so for years to come. My love for history overflows, and I would like to transfer my love of it to others.

History has been frowned upon as a boring subject because, in the past, it's been taught as a subject that deals with memorizing dates and regurgitating that information back to the teacher. With my passion for teaching History, I have come to learn that History teaches one to critically think, analyse and conclude on issues that not only happened in the past but still influence the present and have an effect on the future.

I am a young and driven black woman. I am a 2nd year BA Politics and International Relations student at Wits University. I aspire to become an impactful and empowering woman to young underprivileged youth more especially, young black girls. I am a member of the BusinessWomen's Association Wits Student Chapter. I am furthermore a member of Wits African Union and I serve as the Secretary of the Health and Social Affairs Commission under Wits African Union. I am a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society at Wits, an international society which recognises academic achievement, by extending an invitation to students who fall in the top 15% of their degree programs, to join the society. I additionally serve on the 2017 Golden Key Subcommittee.

My second major in my Education degree is History - a subject I achieved a distinction for when matriculating. I have classroom experience and have tutored many matrics in this subject - all achieved excellent results.

I had the highest performance in my matric final result. I have a strong passion and love for history so much so that I was apart of the history club in high school and received the highest award achievement for it.
