Experience
History tutor
I would prepare notes about a particular topic and use them to explain a section of work, going into great detail and breaking everything down into timelines which made it easier to remember and learn each topic. I would assign the student homework from past papers and textbooks composed mostly of source based questions and timelines for each topic.
English tutor
I would tutor the student twice a week, literature on one day, language on the other. I composed notes that covered topics the student struggled with, providing background, explanations and examples to allow for better understanding. With regards to Literature I provided notes and broke down the method of writing essays and understanding essay topics, I would give an overview of each chapter of a novel/play and my student would write summaries which I would check in the following lesson as well as write practice essays for both the novel and play. I used past papers as well as text book activates to create homework and exercises we would complete during our sessions.

I had the highest performance in my matric final result. I have a strong passion and love for history so much so that I was apart of the history club in high school and received the highest award achievement for it.
