I completed my double major degree in political science and African studies meaning I have extensive knowledge of history. I was also able to complete American history and African history hence can also tutor international exams and courses.

I achieved a distinction in Matric for History and am very well acquainted with the syllabus. Moreover, writing essays for history can prove to be a challenging task, however, I am extremely good with essay writing and the skills of essay writing.

Passed History with 75% in matric, interested in historical events and how they have led to a change of the current political, cultural and global society. Having done politics in my undergraduate degree, I have a good knowledge of African history (colonization for example).

History has always been a passion of mine. I often watch documentaries, videos on YouTube and read books about various historical events to fuel this passion. Having achieved 88% for history in matric I also know what it takes to do well in the subject. This is a subject that I generally (as there is a vast amount of history) understand well and know how to transfer the skills that I have gained in the subject.

History has always been one of my favorite subjects at school because I believe that it is important to know how history has shaped the world we know today as it gives us a direct understanding of how people's backgrounds vary. History teaches us of the struggles and triumphs that society has faced and it allows us to understand the deeper meaning of the privileges we all have today. It also teaches us valuable literacy lessons and language skills. I am able to explain to students the context of their topics to ensure their full understanding of the subject that will guarantee them good marks. I will help with their essay writing skills that are essential to doing well in this subject. I will provide them with helpful study tips and provide them with original materials as well as effective summaries.

Having achieved a 92% for History as my grade twelve final mark I believe this makes me the best tutor for this subject. I write excellent essays and have the ability to navigate through History easily identifying headings for topics at hand.

I am enthusiastic about current affairs and world matters, working with the Political Sciences department and the United Nations Association of South Africa while studying. I have experience as a Social Sciences and History teacher.

History was my best subject in high school and I ended Matric with a 90% average. I love to teach students how to draw connections between the different periods, learning the dates and facts as well as their relevance to our current society.
