For 30+ years, I have been an educator, specialising in English and Dramatic Arts. If you want to learn to command English, then you need me, with my long experience in education and my work as a writer and editor, to help you learn how to iuse English very effectively.

I am experienced in the Read Write Inc programme, assisting learners with spelling strategies. I am an experienced Foundation Phase teacher with a solid foundation of early Literacy skills. I work at a reputable school with an excellent curriculum.

i have obtained a distinction in my English at high school. i have mastered the techinique of four English skills that enabled me to pass through my high school days. Reading, writing, listening and speaking, this are the four pillars needed for all English FAL,HL,SAL on all ground levels.

Throughout my schooling, tertiary studies and work environments I dealt with all the aspects of the English language, be it in speaking, understanding, teaching and writing. My knowledge of the language was not only obtained empirically, but is currently my home language. I have a thorough knowledge of, and a feel for the nuances of the language. I still perform proofreading, editing and translation work in English on request.

I am an exceptional teacher with grammar, spelling and punctuation. I pride myself on very rarely ever being corrected. I excel in combining grammar skills with writing skills. Having taught it to matric level and studied linguistics at university.

There are many skills in which English entails and I am insightful to such. I am an effective teacher and can guide learners through English obtaining the necessary skills. Learners are each able to obtain skills and encouragement and focus brings skills effectively learnt.

I have over 12 years of experience in editing academic papers in the arts and social sciences. Good writing is my passion. I can help a student understand what is needed of them, how to plan the written answer, and then offer suggestions for improvement. I also assist in guiding the student's research and show them how to focus on the topic at hand. I prefer to monitor the students while they write so that they themselves become skilled in responding to questions, that is, they become independent of external help. For students that are struggling with their english lessons I have had prior experience with students that were struggling in basic skills that included reading and writing.Through various exercises that I make use of I aim to help improve my students skills in a way that promotes confidence in their work and self.

I have received training in teaching English as a second language and can assist non-native speakers with tutorials. I will also provide tips to the student as to how to put across their ideas academically and in the most concise way possible.
