English skills tutors in Centurion

I have received training in teaching English as a second language and can assist non-native speakers with tutorials. I will also provide tips to the student as to how to put across their ideas academically and in the most concise way possible.

Over the past 20 years I have worked in a variety of teaching environments, form formal education to corporate training, online educational programmes, tutoring and extra mural classes. I have a BA Drama from the University of Pretoria and completed additional modules at Unisa for non-degree purposes on Literature. I am passionate about improving the lives of learners through education and started a small NGO to accommodate programmes I am already involved in as well as create opportunities for more projects on literacy etc.

I am currently a third year student at the University of Pretoria. I am studying teaching in Early Development and Foundation Phase. I love interacting with children and I would love to help learners wherever I can and with any areas they may be struggling in.

I am currently studying Educational Psychology and it would be great to gather as much teaching experience as possible. I aim to teach through interesting and fun ways that will suite the learner's study methods. I also want to improve study methods by introducing various alternative learning ways to learners.

I am loyal and honest. I focus a lot at improving myself in order to help others. I have a lot of patience especially when it comes to children. I strive for excellence and that is why I aim for the moon so if I fall short I am among the stars. I believe in being two steps ahead so that if something arises it can be dealt with ease. I am looking at completing my Education degree through Unisa and will be starting in second semester. Currently completely my Tefl level 5 qualification. I do a lot of work in children ministry and outreach. I teach ballroom and latin if time permits. I have a huge interest in history mainly the samurai history.

I have experience in teaching English as an additional language across diverse cultural and learning ability levels. Having practical knowledge about language acquisition as well as knowledge in Special Needs Education makes me the most amazing English teacher! Learning must be FUN!
