I have a BSc degree with a specialization in Anatomy and Pharmacology. I am more than bale to explain complex concepts such as genetics, and anatomy and basic physiology that is taught in schools. I also have a range of textbooks which help immensely and have experience in lesson planning for biology from au-pairing.

I love this subject and I master all the concepts. I love helping students to achieve the best possible mark that they can. I am very determined and hard working. I find this subject very interesting and have always worked very hard therein.

My bachelor of science degree is a combined major of biochemistry, advanced cell biology, and physiology. I have a high level of understanding of science and I am currently a teaching assistant in Wits, which assists undergraduate students during practical sessions involving the teaching of theory, demonstration of techniques, and marking work including scientific assignments and essays. I am able to extend my teaching to high school students, primary school students, and university students.

I excelled in biology in school and in university. I am passionate about biology, that’s why I went to study it in university. My knowledge on the subject together with my passion for the subject and teaching makes me the ideal tutor.

Biology was always (and still is) my favourite subject. My average for Biology at the end of matric was 84%. At the moment I am studying to eventually go into the biological field. I would love to carry over my knowledge and passion for biology to other students.

Firstly, my teaching philosophy is to minimise the students weaknesses and teach to the students strengths. I have the skillset to identify the types of learning styles the student has and to be able to present information in a way that has the greatest effect. my main goal in tutoring is to build confidence in the student and to enhance their study skills and overall performance. I know I will be able to do this because I am a compassionate person and I am able to build a good rapport with the student. I am also empathetic, non-judgemental, enthusiastic, a good listener and most of all, patient. I am passionate about this particular subject because I took this subject in high school and I was absolutely intrigued by it. With doing psychology at a university level, I had some biology subjects in which I have excelled in.

I achieved a distinction for Biology in my matric year and I then also went on to study a nursing diploma. Biology is a subject I am really passionate about and enjoy tutoring in. I am able to provide tutoring in English or Afrikaans. My own son is currently in grade 4 and so I have a really good knowledge of Natural Sciences/Natuurwetenskap (CAPS curriculum) as well as having assisted children at an afterschool centre up to grade 7, for 2 years.

Biology is my specialty. Finding ways to memorize certain processes or tons of work is a skill you learn with time. I had biology in high school and biology related modules all throughout university.

I achieved a distinction for Life Sciences in matric and I thoroughly enjoyed the subject. My method of learning involves firstly developing an understanding of the content and then working through past papers.

I enjoyed this subject at school and obtained high marks throughout. I enjoy helping students to use appropriate study methods. I enjoyed the theory and practical aspects .
