I work as a Curriculum Technical Assistant for the National Tooling Initiative Programme (NTIP), which is a skills & enterprise development company focusing on the Manufacturing sector. My academic background includes studies in Engineering-Industrial. I have tutored to University & High School students with a focus on Mathematics, Physical Science & Accounting. As a person who works with academic curriculum and students on a daily basis in my full-time job I believe I can bring a sharp mind to the people I tutor especially in the often-difficult subjects such as Mathematics. I have also gained knowledge on a number of technical industries and working environments through my studies and practical experience where the studies of Mathematics, Physical Science & Accounting are often applied practically. I'm an engineer and MBA graduate, completed various business/accountancy-related subjects. I'm highly analytical and technical. Ten years of experience giving extra lessons in accountancy. Extra lessons are given to high school students(IEB and government course work) and university students. I strongly believe, specifically for accountancy extra lessons, that practicing past papers is the key to achieving a distinction. I am kind and very patient when teaching my students. We go over a few examples in the textbook and then for exams/tests we move onto past papers in order to tackle exactly what can be expected from the student in an exam/test situation. My explanations are very clear and I explain how to tackle the problems in a clear and concise manner.

Honestly, I failed Accounting on a university level in first year. I didn't stop there. I motivated myself everyday to make sure I succeeded as an Accountant one day. Thereafter I started understanding the subject better which motivated me to start tutoring the subject on a University level for 1st and 2nd year students. Practicing the subject everyday, made it one of my favorite subjects not only to work with but to teach ti others as well.

I'm a qualified CA who has been passionate about finance and accounting since primary school. Love sharing my knowledge and shortcuts with others to help them grow and achieve excellence in their studies.

While completing my BCom (Law) and LLB degrees, I learnt a lot about myself and the fact that I was invited to join the Golden Key Society, as well as appearing on the Dean’s List of Merit and achieving the highest marks for Sports Law 420 and Cyber Law 420, greatly reinforced my belief that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. I can also proudly say that I have been admitted as an attorney in January of last year after completing a year of articles and 6 months of evening classes for law school. It took a lot of dedication and long hours and it was indeed tiring; however, it has been worth it in the end. It had brought me closer to accomplishing my dream of being an attorney. I am also currently completing my master’s degree at the University of Pretoria, specialising in Consumer Protection, as I am passionate about the law and helping others. I therefore believe that I have the duty to impart my knowledge and skills to future generations of law students.

I used to tutor a group of 30-50 students and I also tutored learners who had difficulty understanding basics in primary school.
