Afrikaans tutors in Centurion

I love the Afrikaans language and how it is still developing. I enjoyed this subject the most in school and is hoping to make it fun for other people as well. I have a great passion for Afrikaans and I think if you know the history of how a certain word came to an existence, you would also enjoy learning the language more and would have a better understanding of the spelling and everything.

As I previously mentione, I enjoyed languages in high school very much and I will also go the extra mile to help you understand the concepts relating to the language subject. I did well in Afrikaans in high school and always loved the reading and analysing the poems and short stories.

My home language is Afrikaans. I do well in languages as it is my strength area. I’ve spent five months teaching the Afrikaans subject to English kids at Shine Academy. I’ve spent one week in my practicals observing my Afrikaans teacher.

Afrikaans is my home language. I completed both Primary school and High school in Afrikaans and recieved above 80% in matric for this subject. I am passionate about the language and would love to teach it.

I do an initial assessment to understand the leaner’s general level of proficiency, wherafter an analysis is done to identify specific areas of improvements. Tailormade, individual classes to assist with moving the learner to the next level, while addressing identified areas of improvement. I use animations, characters, rhymes and mind maps to stimulate interest, create context and tranfer knowledge. I teach through associations, using both visual and audio sensors to assist with understanding memory retention. I focus on reading and writing, and pronunciation where required.

I am proficient in the language since it is my home language. I feel I can teach it with ease leaving my learners wanting to know more. Afrikaans can be a daunting language to learn but once understood it can be easily applied.
