Grammar tutors in Cape Town

With a great grasp of the English language comes the burden of grammar! This is an important part of English as without it, communication can be absolutely disastrous. Imagine saying one thing and it being interpreted as another because we forgot a little grammar? That's where I come in! I can assist with basic grammar in the English language as it's a language I've been studying and practising for years.

I am a senior tutor who reads a book a week and who excelled in English at school. I love linguistics and literature and anything concerning the English Language. I have tutored for many years in the fields of English and Environment and love the primary school phase.

I am the best tutor for this subject because of my Montessori and TEFL knowledge of teaching English grammar. I can teach parts of speech, syntax and types of sentences to learners. I can also reach Essay and poetry Structure.

I think I would be best at teaching grammar because I always did well and enjoyed this subject at school. I also studied this when doing my TEFL course and I have a passion for it! I believe that it is an important skill to learn when learning languages.

Through the communicative approach, I 'trick' learners into new grammar by getting them to use the structures without knowing, and then teach them more about the structures and examples thereof. For more advanced learners, I use the flipped-learning approach where students discover the grammar for themselves, try their hand at it, and then revise it in the classroom where they identify and correct their own or their peers' mistakes
