English Language tutors in Cape Town

Currently doing my MSc at UCT. I triple majored in geology, geography and environmental science in my undergrad at Rhodes University. I did a year of chemistry in my undergrad, however I do geochemistry and geophysics as part of geology so my chemistry is up to scratch. I wont have a problem teaching highschool maths or physics/chemistry, geography or biology.

Iam currently studying towards my BA degree and majoring in English,Philosophy and Psychology. I like reading literature.

I am 45 and a friendly outgoing individual who likes to meet people of different cultures etc. I like to travel. I can adapt easily to any environment. I am serious in my teaching approach but also friendly in order to make the client feel comfortable. I have 5 children from the age of 5 - 20. I speak three languages - English, Afrikaans and Arabic.

I’m a caring, trustworthy and patient individual who constantly strives to better my understanding of people and the world. I went to school at Kingsmead College in Johannesburg. I have completed a Bachelor of Humanities majoring in psychology and sociology at Stellenbosch University.

From personal experience, I find English needs to be taken from a different approach. An approach that is FUN, VIBRANT and YOUTHFUL. When planning English lessons my lessons are creative and interesting, being a young female I know that I have the ability to create these lessons which capture the leaners attention but continually incorporate the core features of the curriculum that learners need to obtain

I can help students with the English language as it is one of my majors and I have a TEFL certifcate. I can help with the language itself such as pronounciations perhaps or reading and writing. General conversations can help boost your knowledge as well.

Having a strong command of a language is on thing but being able to share those skills and pass them to someone else is another. I posses both these qualities. English is a complex language and with my extensive knowledge and grasp of it accompanied with my patience and love for teaching, I am a great candidate to assist in any problem areas that might arise!
