Writing tutors in Western Cape

Part of my degrees in research is to be able to write well. Writing well is an important skill to have. This enables readers of your work to understand clearly what it is you are trying to convey. Let alone the fact that in school, your writing skill directly correlates with how well you do in assignments.

I have a degree in English Literature from Varsity College where I graduated at the top of my class with 19 distinctions. I have a knack for essay writing & have a tried-and-tested essay formula which can be applied to any subject.

As a prolific bibliophile and practicing attorney, I have a very good command of the English language. I have an extensive interest in a variety of fields, including law, health, various hobbies, non-fiction, biographical works, and much more, and would be willing to engage with all ages to increase their English knowledge.

I am passionate about English prose, poetry and creative writing. Skilful creative writing enables students to think more creatively and laterally in everyday life. I also teach students to write formal and logical letters and documents. Skills that are required for the workplace.

Writing is something I've always been good at. I seem to be called on by friends and family to word emails, or essays, or letters of resignation; I will help you find what you truly want to say in whatever writing form you need; informal, formal, casual... I'm your guide.

I have knowledge of how children of primary school should be able to write since I worked at Dots Learning Centre in Durbanville for a while. I am also very patient, therefore if the child struggles or takes his/her time I will have the patience to wait and help him or her when necessary even if it takes a lot of time.

Creative writing is a passion of mine and I love guiding a creative mind towards their story goals. Fresh ideas and perspective is sometimes all it takes for that winning formula to click into place. I know all the formats for functional writing and can help you work through these for your course.

I have 4 years experience tutoring and managing after-school projects in various areas around Cape Town and drew up curriculum booklets for SHAWCO Education at UCT aligned with the CAPS curriculum in Numeracy, literacy, sports and more from grade 1 to grade 10s.

I am an aspiring writer myself and I have extensive experience in writing academic, as well as fiction pieces. It is a skill that I have spent years developing and is a craft that I hold dear to my heart.
