I have a Bachelor's degree from UCT, with majors in English Literature and Psychology. During my studies at UCT I received a Golden Key award for outstanding academic performance. I went on to complete an Honour's degree in Clinical Psychology through UNISA. I also completed a TESOL certificate with 100hrs theory and 50hrs practical. I have taught In Thailand (at a language school and then a government high school) and for the past 4 years I have been a language tutor. I have also been teaching English online for the past year. I am passionate about teaching, especially languages. I love to be creative in designing my lesson plans and I make sure to incorporate learning strategies to suit each student's learning style. In my spare time I love to write fictional (and often fantastical) stories. I also enjoy reading and drawing. I am patient, creative, and hard-working. I am computer literate and have access to a quiet work space with a high quality web camera and microphone.

I have a passion for teaching and training people. While I was a student I loved teaching tutor classes and helping students reach their goals. I enjoyed Maths and Accounting at School for which I received distinctions for both. I have 2 years experience in tutoring High School Maths and Accounting as well as Afrikaans to both Primary and High School students. I received an overall distinction at High School and I am therefore the perfect tutor candidate.

I am a Mathematics and Science High School and College Teacher who has also taught primary school Intervention in English and Afrikaans as well as Mathematics. I have been very ill and hence have a voice problem but as soon as learners get used to my voice they understand it without any issue. I have been teaching for 35 years and have taught learners from 6-65 years of age. I am also an eternal student and love learning myself. I have a masters degree in Mathematics education. I am passionate about my learners and empathetic towards them and will go out of my way to help them in any way I can. My other interests include craft (sewing, embroidery, sewing, knitting], reading and music[ I love playing the piano]. I try to teach from going from the perspective of what you know and using it to get to what you do not yet know and have to learn. I expect my learners to practice and master the work we have covered in lessons so that we can progress easily. I do however understand that life happens and this is not always possible. If you do not understand a concept I will try to approach it from different angles until you do get it. Another of my pet things is to use real life examples especially from the learner's life so that the lessons are relevant and exciting to you. I believe lessons should be fun and something to look forward to so try to keep good humor going through out.

Hello! My name is Celine and I am a South African national. However, I did most of my schooling in the UK where I obtained 11 GCSEs, 2 AS-levels and 3 A2s. I am currently finishing off my Bachelor of Theology and TEFL course. I am planning on studying on further and also obtaining a Psychology Degree in the future. Subjects I am most passionate about are History, Psychology, Maths and English. I work with teenagers at a school currently and also work with youth at my local church. I believe in this generation!

I am a 26 year old female. I did by B. Ed degree at Stellenbosch University and have been working as a Grade 5 teacher for 3 years, teaching all subjects. I love teaching Mathematics, languages and have a passion for art.

Originally from a big family in Joburg, I am currently a second year student at UCT studying Actuarial Science. I have always learned and studied by teaching other people and so have gotten quite good at it over the years! I took physics, accounting and IT in school and thoroughly enjoyed them. After university I would like to work as an investment banker overseas, hopefully in London. I enjoy playing sports like waterpolo, swimming, mountain biking and I have even climbed Kilimanjaro. I believe that every person has the ability to learn and understand anything that is put in front of them, it just has to be taught at a speed and in a way that makes sense to that individual and that is how I approach teaching students.

I am currently working in the Tourism Industry dealing mostly with the German market and conducting all verbal and written communication in German.
