Hi there! I am a 19 year old student busy studying at Stellenbosch University. I am currently in my 2nd year studying BA Humanities. I would love to help with any school assistance you need :) I did the IEB curriculum for Matric, with the subjects Core Mathematics, English Home Language, Life Sciences, Dramatic Arts, Consumer Studies, and Afrikaans Additional Language - and received a distinction and high 70s. I am also willing to help with any other additional subjects, such as Geography. My hours are flexible, and our lessons don't necessarily need to be regular.

I am a full-time qualified teacher and my majors are Mathematics and EMS. I have a passion for the subjects and believe I am able to simplify the subjects for learners and help them to focus on the basics to improve their marks. I`ve been tutoring since 2017 and have helped many learners overcome their struggles and fear towards this subjects.

I'm a PhD student in Chemistry at UCT and I've been tutoring chemistry from 1st- 3rd year for the past 5 years. Currently I'm tutoring CEM1019H (1st year). Tutoring makes me feel smart! Often progress is slow in research and being able to help someone understand something gives me a boost of motivation to get back at it.

I am currently completing my masters degree in Applied Mathematics at the University of Cape Town. Before my masters I studied physics (BSc with Honours) at Queen Mary University of London where I achieved at 2:1 overall. I grew up in South Africa but moved to Germany to complete the international baccalaureate where I achieved 34 overall with a 6 in physics and mathematics higher level. I am Carien Steyn, I am busy with my Master's dissertation in Industrial Psychology focusing on young adolescents. I have a passion to work with people and facilitation. I did my Bcom Industrial Psychology and labour relations at the North-West University and completed in 2016. I decided to do my Honours degree in Industrial psychology the next year and completed in 2017. I learned a lot during my studies as we were facilitators on a regular base and was the start of a dream to become a tutor. I worked at a consulting firm as a project manager and independent psychometrist, I enjoyed guiding people to reach a common goal which was beneficial for all. I love to learn new things and went for various training and seminars during this time moreover led to my Master's degree in Industrial Psychology at Stellenbosch University.

I am a passionate English Literature Bachelor of Honours (B(Hons)) student at Stellenbosch University. I am doing my research in postmodern Holocaust literature and I am interested in a range of topics from American Renaissance literature to postcolonial and critical theory. Next year, in 2021, I intend doing my Master's degree, continuing at Stellenbosch University and eventually I wish to work as a lecturer and researcher in the field. English Literature is an exciting field of work and can be incredibly rewarding when understood well. I graduated with distinction in my undergraduate Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Psychology (with an aggregate of 83%) and my final mark for English Literature in third year was 85%. In addition, I was awarded the English subject prize and the top student in my undergraduate degree overall.

I am a friendly, energetic, and patient person who has previous tutoring experience for high school and primary school students.
