Hi there, I am a South African female with various University Degrees. I lived in George for the past seven years where I was a Mental Health Counselor for FAMSA. I am now in Cape Town (Somerset West) since my husband's company moved us to Cape Town. I have the following degrees: BA Communications and Psychology BA Honours Psychology MSc Clinical Psychology I am currently busy with my Doctorate degree in Psychology and am busy with my thesis. Before counseling I was a recruitment consultant for fourteen years. During my recruitment and counseling years I was responsible now and again for teaching short courses. I am looking to tutor University Students or High School Students depending of the subjects. I am also very good with research and academic writing and am willing to help proof read Masters' theses. I am a newly qualified BEd (Foundation Phase) teacher having just graduated Cum Laude from Stellenbosch University. I have gained teaching experience throughout my studies to becoming a teacher. I enjoy working with children and I acknowledge that all learners are different and that they require different needs. My passion lies with teaching and learning, and I seek to assist learners in reaching their full potential. I have the ability to adapt the curriculum and content to suit the learner’s needs.

I matriculated from Westerford High School in 2015. I am currently studying fine art at Michaelis School of Fine Art (UCT) and majoring in print making. I love art, history, maths and English. I have been tutoring since 2016 and really enjoy helping people to understand whatever subject it is that we are working on.

Hi, my name is Liam. I am a 3rd year Psychology and Communications student and a member of my college's SRC. I also spent a year studying science and have a TEFL qualification. I am a PGCE graduate at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. I started studying towards my Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2014 and completed my Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in 2018. During this period my major subjects at university were Transport Economics and Logistics. I studied towards a PGCE majoring in Business Studies and Mathematical Literacy. I completed the postgraduate course summa cum laude in 2020.

My background and experience: I have over 10 years of classroom teaching experience across a range of educational levels. I specialise in making maths accessible to those who do not find it easy, and to whom it does not come naturally. I have endless patience and have worked on many projects and initiatives to find ways to make maths more understandable. I strongly believe that anyone can achieve when it comes to maths, we just need to work on where the gaps are and find strategies to fill them. I started my teaching career in Cape Town and then moved over to the UK where I have been teaching for the last 7 years. I relocated back to Cape Town at the beginning of 2021. My teaching methodology: My teaching methodology is very simple... We do some practice to find what maths bits you do and don't know. I work out why you don't know something (there will be bits missing in the foundations of your understanding of a concept) and we correct the misunderstandings. We then put all the bits back together and keep building on your existing knowledge and allow you to access the more advanced concepts. We don't stress, we just keep going. You've got this.

Hi everyone, If you're looking for a kind and patient tutor to help you with English or Afrikaans, you've just found one. I'm also a language student. I am studying Mandarin (it's really hard), so I understand what its like. I've been teaching English online for 3 years. I have two degrees (what can I say? I like to learn).
