To ensure each one of my learners achieve their goals l ensure learning is fun, l allow my learners to using all their senses to gain knowledge. Learning is about understanding, practicing and then taking ownership of what has been learnt and making it ones own work.

I am a post graduate, cum laude student, who recently completed my honours degree in Management Accounting at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. I am a driven and hardworking person, always delivering work to the best of my ability. I am also very passionate, with big ambition who loves to learn new things and always up for a challenge. I am patient, calm and I would like to think I have that effect on people around me too. I have good social skills and have a true passion for helping others. I enjoy problem-solving and will always find creative ways to solve it. I have a positive outlook on life and communicate and work well in groups. Hi! I have taught abroad in countries such as S. Korea and Malaysia. I have a TESOL qualification and have taught English online to students in China. I am a CAPS trained teacher and have IEB experience. I have taught all subjects in the Intermediate Phase, and English and Afrikaans in the Senior Phase, and right up to Matric. I am also a Drama teacher, and have directed school plays and nativity shows. I have been a support teacher; also remedial English and Afrikaans to students, especially with homework supervision. Patience and kindness is key to successful learning. Languages open the door to understanding and mastering all other subjects!

I am a third year civil engineering student at Stellenbosch University. I am 21 and I grew up in Harare, Zimbabwe and attended Peterhouse Boarding school where I achieved my Cambridge O and A level academics. I am love maths and physics more know that I've left school then I could have ever done at school!! I really enjoy being outside in the sun, so the Western Cape winter is definitely not my favourite my time of year. I love meeting new people and getting out and doing adrenaline junky stuff. I am a 20 year old Engineering student at the University of Cape Town in Western Cape,South Africa.I work well with kids and enjoy spending time with and teaching them.I am very patient with them and ensure that they understand what is going on when I am teaching them.I am also easy to talk to and communicate with,allowing students to feel more comfortable with asking questions and clarifying what they do not entirely understand.I do not put too much of pressure on the student while teaching them as I believe that being patient with them is the key to actually accomplishing what needs to be accomplished.I believe that the student needs to be in a comfortable space in order to learn,and I believe that I am able to provide that comfortable space.

I have been a TEFL/TESOL for the past 3 years and have spent time teaching different types of students from different backgrounds in different settings. From general English for daily use, IELTS, and English for business, I have taught it all! I have single-handedly seen a number of students through their course from elementary level (A2) to advanced (C1) in record time. Hi, I'm Gemma :) I am a friendly, down-to-earth person and I'm passionate about science and education. I have a BSc Hons (first class) in Biological Sciences from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and I'm currently studying towards a masters in Conservation Biology (also at UCT). I grew up in Malawi and went through the IGCSE and A-level system, graduating with A's in Biology, Chemistry, Geography and Maths. I have several years of varied teaching experience. I am a trained CELTA (English as a foreign language language) teacher with 1 year of teaching experience, and during my undergrad I worked as a tutor for first year Biology courses. I have experience teaching all ages from young primary school children through to mature adults. I believe in student-centered teaching and enjoy developing lessons that are fun, engaging, and suit the learning styles and needs of my students. I look forward to working with you!

I matriculated with 91% in Core Mathematics and also passed Advanced Programme Mathematics - both IEB Curriculum. I also achieved 78% for Life Sciences, and then completed a BSc in Human Life Sciences.
