Hi! I'm a UCT chemical engineering graduate currently doing my Master’s in Bioresource Engineering at Stellies. I was the head boy and dux of my high school and matriculated with 8 distinctions (90% AVG). I tutor 1st year Chemistry and I often help my brother (in high school) and my sister (in university) with their scientific work and soft skills like presenting and writing. I am Afrikaans, but after four years at UCT my English is great. I can help high school and university students with Maths, Admaths, Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, orals, MS Word, MS Excell, MS Powerpoint, presentations, engineering design, proofreading and editing of scientific reports and papers.

I am a young professional with a passion for number crunching .I hold a BSC in Actuarial Science and Mathematical statistics [Wits] .I am an Actuarial product specialist by profession .I believe I posses the ability to help push young mathematics students in achieving higher grades in mathematics as I did my self .What are we waiting for ,lets start punching the calculator .

I was someone who used to barely pass mathematics and biology, but by learning what kind of student I was and making use of the various resources around me I managed to pass matric with distinctions in all of the above subjects. Now I am eager to work with students to achieve this as well. As a tutor, I am someone who will take the time to understand the pace and capacity of each student and incorporate different teaching methods accordingly. I will also teach the building blocks of learning, such as organisation, time management, task initiation, mind maps, diagrams and flash cards to create confident and independent students. But most importantly, I will get to know my students and build a trusting, but professional, relationship with my students in order to ensure that they are receiving the guidance they need.

I love English and I love tutoring! I also love anything to do with education, the environment, children and assisting others. My favourite way of teaching is face to face (which includes online teaching) with my own resources and anything else that I can use to make a lesson more accessible for each person. I believe that all students are unique individuals who have their own ways of learning and absorbing new information. So I adapt to each individual with my own unique resources and attitude and teaching. I have taught all ages since 2004 and I love teaching any person from age 6 until age 76! My hobbies include reading, yoga, walking, being outdoors as much as possible, gardening and parenting.

l have been teaching accounting students for a while so l have enough experience in this category. l am generally passionate about my subject and constantly upgrading myself to be better. Very patient and dedicated with attention to detail as well as offering practical examples as l am also well versed with the corporate world.

I’m currently studying for my bachelors in Mechatronics in Europe (Lithuania) and I remember how crucial my studies in matric were to get to this point. I hope I can help some students through the same process with what I’ve learned.
