I am a qualified B.Ed FET Maths and Science specialization graduate from Wits University with great track record on private tutoring. I am passionately available and willing to intervene. I am a qualified Bachelor of Education (Physical Science and Mathematics) Educator and from the University of the Witwatersrand. I am an international award holder of First Student and Young People's award by Global Access to Post-Secondary Education (GAPS). I possess enormous passion towards widening access and success for the learners in High School particularly those from a poor background and less exposed. Hence, as a Mentor at WITS Student Equity and Talent Management Unit (SETMU) in Target Talent Project (TTP) whereby we engage learners during their holiday programmes by bringing them on campus and expose them to university life than just telling them about University life. I have always been passionate about bridging the information gap and sharing tertiary information and encouraging young people especially from my background and had been involved numerous community outreach programmes. I also serve as a Regional Eskom Science Expo Judge whereby we critique and nature young people who have passion towards science research and compete at an international science fair.

I have a lot of experience with children au pairing and love spending time and helping develop the skills and abilities of young minds. I am fluent in both English and Afrikaans and my top subjects were Maths and Geography.

I am 25 years old - it is not THAT old I promise - and I have a passion for teaching and helping students, kids, and people from all walks of life who would like to learn. I am not purely an academic as my hobbies and interests stretch far and wide from a love for Chemistry to growing and using my own medicinal mushrooms called Reishi mushrooms. I have a deep appreciation for holistic and philosophical practices and use my experience in these fields during our lessons; simple concentration exercises, the creation of will and duty etc. I studied a double major in Chemistry and Geology at the University of Cape Town; gained two diplomas from the Gemological Institute of America and am now a qualified diamond grader. My dream is to one day work in mining extraction processes as well as to develop my own cosmetic products - I really love Chemistry and so will be a great teacher to you making the material not only relevant to life but also fun ! Furthermore I practice all forms of art as well as poetry. I am a South African citizen born in 1998. I am passionate about teaching and education as well as psychology and other social and human studies. I plan on graduating from the University of South Africa at the end of 2020 for my Bachelor’s degree in Education and thereafter to continue studying part time to fulfil my dream of achieving my Doctorate in Educational psychology. I plan on using my knowledge to better the knowledge of all learners through education as education is the key to success.

I am currently a third year chemical engineering student at the University of Pretoria. I reside in a residence on campus named Huis Jasmyn but originally come from a very small town in the Freestate called Clarens. I currently have spare time on my hands and would love to spend it helping others. I have been in a residence since I started high school and have always helped my friends with whatever maths and science they struggled with. I have served on our residences committee and have been a mentor at Huis Jasmyn for the last two years-I have thoroughly enjoyed helping people and assisting them with overcoming obstacles that they thought they would never overcome. At school I was privileged enough to have very passionate maths and science teachers and would love to give the passion and support that the gave to me to someone else, because without the support and encouragement that I was shown I would have not been where and am today and would have not achieved the marks that I did in matric.
