Cylanthea B - Tutor in Pretoriuspark

Hello, My name is Cylanthea Boshoff. I am 25 years old - it is not THAT old I promise - and I have a passion for teaching and helping students, kids, and people from all walks of life who would like to learn. I am not purely an academic as my hobbies and interests stretch far and wide from a love for Chemistry to growing and using my own medicinal mushrooms called Reishi mushrooms. I have a deep appreciation for holistic and philosophical practices and use my experience in these fields during our lessons; simple concentration exercises, the creation of will and duty etc. I studied a double major in Chemistry and Geology at the University of Cape Town; gained two diplomas from the Gemological Institute of America and am now a qualified diamond grader. My dream is to one day work in mining extraction processes as well as to develop my own cosmetic products - I really love Chemistry and so will be a great teacher to you making the material not only relevant to life but also fun ! Furthermore I practice all forms of art as well as poetry. I find languages to be beautiful living things and it will bring me great joy to help you see them that way too instead of struggling on in the midst of words you don't understand. I am friendly, outgoing and approachable encouraging people to ask "Why?" so that they may better understand.

I believe everyone needs to have a firm grasp on Mathematics to essentially understand the world we live in better. I realise Mathematics can be daunting and so I aim to make it fun and relevant. Having done theoretical Calculus at University level I have a bit more of an understanding of how the small building blocks taught in school will contribute to the larger picture one day. This drives me to make sure my learners excel in these building blocks as to make further studies much easier for them!
