I'm a trained piano player having studied at UCT where I did 2 years training in the Classical stream followed by 3 years training in Jazz. I graduated in 2006. Since that time I have been working as a music teacher at various local music schools as well as working as a performing musician. My performing experience includes working as a session musician for various cover bands in Dubai as well as working in local bands. Currently I am a member of a duo called "Mistura". The type of music we perform is light tangos, classical pieces and arrangements of pop songs (which I arrange).

I have been active in the music industry and living my dream for the past 13 years as a musician. I have recorded over 50 original works of music in a professional setting. I have shared the stage with most big names in the South African performing arts industry including The Parlotones, Jack Parrow, aKing, Glaskas, Francious Van Coke. Prime circle, Zebra and giraffe and loads more. I qualified top of my class, specialising in Guitar as my main instrument from the Academy of Contemporary music in the United kingdom through the Campus of Performing arts in jhb under the tuitalage of Deon Kruger (the Narrow). I have placed in the top 3 of the national schools music competition "Rockspaaider" 2 times, and in 2008 won the award for best songwriter and composer in the country. I am very passionate about Music and teaching and always look to improve myself and my skills. I believe one can learn even if you teach someone else. Music is universal and beautiful.

I've studied choral music since i was 10 years old and I can now read and write music fluently both in Tonic Sol-fa and in Staff Notation. I furthered my music studies at Campus of Performing Arts and ive been working in the industry as a session guitarist and music producer for the past 3 years.

I am currently studying BMus at the University of Pretoria. I have taken several courses that will prove useful in this position. These courses include first aid peer counselling and tutoring. I work well with children of all ages, am very reliable and organized, and am flexible and can problem solve under pressure. I am also a keen and willing learner. I am a lively and responsible young female au pair/ tutor with a good record of accomplishment providing quality childcare services and school tutoring for families in the Pretoria area. I am a second year UCT student doing a triple major in Psychology, Music and Film. I attended The Drakensberg Boys' Choir School as well as Kearsney College where i graduated with double honours in Music as well as Academic Colours in 2014.
