I completed a music degree at UP, specialising in music theory, music history, and piano performance in my fourth year. I took guitar up to third year level. I have tutored music (piano, guitar, music theory, music history) since 2014, mostly to beginners and intermediate learners.

I have played Gr6 Trinity College and passed as well as grade 1-5 UNISA practical and Grade 1-4 UNISA theory. I enjoy music and believe that each student should be able to do music theory with ease. I also play piano and would gladly help with piano as well.

I used to love playing my instrument by ear, but the true talent is not only having the natural gift but also understanding the mechanics thereof. My music teacher used to make the nicest rhymes to remember and understand music theory which I remember till this day. I wish to help you with remembering and understanding the theory till you are also old enough to say “MANY years ago I learnt this and still remember it to this day”

Music Theory may seem daunting! I admit it aswel. You may feel like you can’t get the things in your head... it is possible and not even that difficult. Let me build the foundation of music theory in your mind. I have Grade 5 ABRSM (92%) aswel as music at Matric level (88%).

I have a degree in Music (BMus Cum Laude) and live through anything music related. I am creative and have experience teaching music to all ages, thus I know how to adapt and teach music in new and exciting ways. Music is supposed to be fun and thus I strive to not only teach music, but to help grow your love for music

I play the piano and the Timpani. I have passed my ABRSM Piano Practical and Music Theory Grade 6 exam and my Trinity College London Grade 7 Music Theory exam. I have experience teaching Music Theory.

I have a distinction in Music at Matrik level as well as Grade 6 level ABRSM Music Theory. Music is one of my first loves and I know how much of a role it plays in so many lives. I can guarantee enthusiasm and passion for the subject from my end.

I graduated from The University of Pretoria in 2019 with a BMus (hons) degree I obtained with distinction. In addition to having a university-level education in music theory, I am also well-versed in the most recent teaching techniques for the music classroom. I play flute, piano, guitar and also sing, and can thus help put music theory into practice in a wide variety of ways.

Currently a PhD student, I am in the final stages of completing my studies, while lecturing select courses at Wits University. Once finished, I hope to continue with a career in academia. I am originally from Johannesburg and have spent much of my time here, aside from a period of studies in London. I enjoy travel, literature, and the arts.

I have a bachelor's in horticulture and soil science, with an honors in souls science as well as a MBA. I ran companies, have been on boards while pursuing a freelance career in music as well as tutoring university subjects like stats, business management, management accounting and economics.. I also conduct orchestras on all levels as well as playing the violin and viola. I am a mature gentleman with a young family. My 2 youngest are 5 and 7 respectively and my oldest 2 are 30 and 32. I have successfully tutored students on all levels previously. Tutoring is a 2 way commitment. Not a quick fix.
